3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very fine, with crisp and toasty grain and malt right up front - actually it took me a few sips to like this. Almost like summer meadow hay and light honey, with a bit of lemon. Nice finish of lemon and hop dryness, donít miss it.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
on tap at the pub. golden hue, lots of carbonation and slightly cloudy. Aromas are biscuit and some lemon notes but not as expressive as the Pils. Melow palate, buiscuit, decent structure and mid palate. easy and light.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I loved this beer on tap at the brewery. Poured cloduy yellow with spiced notes. These notes gave a bread like quality that ran a long almost creamy maly finish.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
On tap at Duggans. Very light tasting. Somewhat bland for my liking. Very much prefer a beer with more "bite" to it.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Wimpy little 275ml single bottle from my local llikkbo. Pours a pale yellow with a white froth that goes flaccid faster than an old man coming to the end of a viagra stint. Aroma is dull and lifeless and warrants little comment. Flavour has some nice pale malt character over shadowed by some serious popcorn butter flavour, which seems like a serious flaw but thankfully I donít mind dyaceytl. Dugganís seems to me like a modest brewery with much to be modest about. EDIT: holy crap sorachi is a variety of hops!? Iím presuming then, that the beer name is meant to be ironic.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Picked this up at Queens Quay LCBO. Never seen this one before, so I had to pick it up to try. Pours bubbly and clear gold, fluffy white head and some minor lace. Nose is crisp and a little corn like. Tastes a touch bitter and a little bland. Doesnít do this brand of hop justice (if they truly are using Sorachi Ace hops?). Still would rather have this then most lagers out there.

1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Dugganís Brewery - Sorachi Lager
Typical piss yellow lager pour with a bit of thin white head. Lightly grassy scent. Not much there at all.
Wow what a weird taste. Itís like theatre popcorn! Seriously. It lingers in the aftertaste. Wow odd. Oily synthetic tasting and buttery.
Pretty sure Iím not a fan. Yeah not really digging this,

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle in a bar. Pours clear yellow with no head and no lacing. Aroma: slight touch of malt, but not umuch else. Taste: malt, boiled rice, touch of honey. Unpleasant mix. Light texture, almost watery. Really bad beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(note - bottle lists this as 4.0%). Pours bubbly pale apple juice with little head. Aroma: light general graininess, a little dry? Hops donít really provide much aroma, but are there to balance and provide a bit of finishing bitterness.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
275 mL bottle. Never heard of Sorachi Ace hops until now, let alone known that they produce the unique buttery flavour mentioned in a few other rates. Pours a light golden colour with a fine head that dissipates quickly with no lacing. A little popcorn, yeast and lemon zest on the nose. The diacetyl comes through in the flavour as well, brioche comes to mind a little. Mildly flavoured, lightly bitter and mildly carbonated, easy on the palate and fairly light tasting. A decent quencher, but not all that interesting.
