1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle from a Kroger. Pours a clear amber color with a fizzy white head that fades quickly. Aroma of sweet, grainy apples and a faint sweaty sock thing. The taste is sweet and tart apples, not quite artificial but very candy-like. Thin bodied. Not a good cider, even by the macro cider standards.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle, and don’t ask me why. Always great to see a laundry list of ingredients on the side of a label that are not apples and yeast. Pours with a perfectly clear deep golden yellow (food coloring?) hued body with a few large bubbles. Aromas are of jolly ranchers, candied apple, tons of sugar and artificial acid. Cloyingly sweet. Lightly spicy character. Flavors are equally sweet, artificial tangy acidity but yet not enough to even come close to balancing the sweetness. Next to no tannic structure. Medium full bodied, lively carbonation. I might be a bit harsh, as this is not nearly the worst cider I have, but this is still pretty much the definition of an alcopop, and it really bothers me that most of the "ciders" one finds on shelves are like this. Cloyingly sweet and mind numbingly dumbed down.

Haha... I had this awhile back at the Jax Beer Fest, took notes, but didn’t bite on rating it because I wasn’t sure if it was allowed. Leave it to PorterPounder to add it on up! Anyway, golden brown pour, fizzy off-white head that’s gone instantly. Sweet, sweet apple juice aroma and flavor, too much spritz, too much sugar, and lots of apple. Meh.

2.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Wondferful natural apple aroma, but after that it kinda falls flat. Too light, too thin, doesn’t taste as good as the nose would have you beleive. Oh well. Not like I expected much.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle to half-pint. Looks decent; a fairly transparent apple juice with thin white head that quickly dissipates entirely. Smells like apple juice. Tastes like it smells, but lively due to carbonation. It exceeded my expectations.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 11.2 oz bottle. Sparkling medium golden pour, light white head. Sweet Golden Delicious apple aroma. Flavor is crisp and sweet with some Gala apples, a touch of pear sweetness. Mouthfeel is crisp and has a nice spritz to it. Pleasantly surprised.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
11.2oz bottle picked up at the state store
Pours clear golden with a small white ring, no lacing. Mild aroma of ripe apples. Tastes like apple sauce and cinnamon
Not bad but it tasted like old apples, not crisp fresh ones.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle, screw-top. Nose of apples, sure, but plastic and raw artificiality. Pours dark but clear golden with above-average carbonation and a fizzy, blink-and-you-miss-it head. Sweet, fizzy full body with a little booze warmth, surprisingly heavy, but thankfully free of the feared crushing artificiality and spotted here and there bit bits of pectin and brown sugar. Still too infantilized, but I’m probably game for another.
