3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Pdubyah (121) - Auckland, - DEC 30, 2012Mike certainly has a thing going. I know that Pale Ale is a stock beer for craft brewery places, but this is a bit good. This is quaffingly good beer, I almost forgot to sit and mull over the range of flavours that this has. Almost. It’s crackingly good.
The bitterness is offset by the malts, the layers of taste give it length and depth.
Get some if you can.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 omega (500) - NEW ZEALAND - MAY 19, 2013
Solid example of an APA. Little more malt driven than hop driven but nicely balanced. Good length of flavours and had to keep reminding myself that this wasn’t a DIPA.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 DylansDad (204) - NEW ZEALAND - APR 16, 2013
For a description, the previous two posters have nailed it. This beer can certainly hold its head up in the world of APAs, it has all the essential elements, although, a minor peeve, I did find the flavour profile a bit ’scooped’; there was good bass and treble but the mids felt just a little overlooked. Anyway, I’ll be buying this one again before the month is out, that I can guarantee. It is a very good beer.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Jimthechap (1206) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 4, 2012
Tasted from bottle, appears a gorgeous amber with a persistent white head and very thin beads of carbonation. Aromas of dehydrated guava, peach and apricot, tropical pineapple and rock melon, a dash of full-on resinous spruce and this aroma really is something to write home about. Upon tasting you have to wait as you get through the flush of tiny bubbles before a wave of orchard fruit and the little bits of dried tropical fruit in breakfast cereal. This is balanced with fresh, green hoppiness that imparts a rewarding bitterness that carries the finish on for ages. This beer is (not quite simply) lovely.
