COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mike’s Lager is a crisp beer with citrus undertones; the perfect beverage for a hot summer’s day. Lagers traditionally take longer to ferment out than ales. This gives it the signature dry crisp taste that is proving so popular amongst beer drinkers the world over. This is truly a lager like no other ... At Mike’s we set out to brew full flavour beers. Mike’s Lager won’t disappoint. You will revel in the full malt character. The finish is crisp and clean with distinctive lingering hop tones; a full strength beer at 4.8% ABV.

The colour was light brownish orange amber, and it had a medium cream head, with light carbonation. There was strong malty bitter hop aroma. The flavour had malty orange fruit, with grainy light bitterness. This is a fairly simple style with light flavours.

Light haze on this gold beer, little white head. Palate is light and crispy. Okay pale malt. Light citrus. Semi dry finish. Okay.

Draft. A golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of spicy hopsand malt. The flavor is sweet wtih notes of malt, hay, cardboard, and a bit of caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

Pours golden, with little to no head. Quite weak with very little body. Slight citrus aftertaste.

Bottle at the Summer Beer Festival, Rome. Cheers Alex. Poured clear yellow gold with a fizzy white head. Aroma is dominated by malts, flavour has straw, grass, malts, light hops, bit of toffee. It was free and I probably enjoyed it a little more than I should of as a resut of that.

Nose reminded me of oatmeal which is confusing as typically I have breakfast in the morning so it didn’t sit right with me. Colour is nice and golden with good effervescence. Good length of flavours but nothing which makes you sit up and say wow.

Bottle at GBBF. Golden body, white head. Just another pale lager with no remarkable taste.

330ml bottle. Clear and light amber colour and carries a flat white head. Looks a bit on the thin side. Modest aromas and you struggle to find anything that stands out. Flavour is musky and not a lot else.

Bottle 330ml. @ SUMMER BEER FESTIVAL, Parco Rosati, via delle Tre Fontane, Roma, Italy.

Clear light medium yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20110513]
