3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured into a snifter.
4.5 A: Ruddy medium amber color. Two fingers of creamy beige head. Retention is very good for the ABV and lots of lacing is left.
4.5 S: Quite a hop bomb. Citrus and floral hops dominate. Mango, papaya, pineapple, and orange are the big players. Pine and grapefruit underneath. Caramel maltiness with a strong hit of bready yeastiness.
4.0 T: Surprisingly the malt is a big part of the taste. Lots of caramel, lots of peach and candied apple fruitiness. Again, lots of tropical fruits. Mango and papaya are strongest followed by pineapple and orange followed by pine and grapefruit. Mild to moderate yeastiness. The only thing that prevents me from enjoying this more is the bitterness. Bitterness is quite aggressive and lingers well into the aftertaste. The supposed 80 IBUs tastes more like double that. On a lighter note, the alcohol is well hidden.
3.5 M: Heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation. There’s a bit too much chewiness from the yeast for me. It reduces the creaminess.
3.5 D: I’m going to have a hell of a time finishing this bottle with all this bitterness. Still, it’s a tasty beer and I wish I stumbled upon more than one bottle. Great nose and a solid taste. There’s not a whole lot of wheat flavor in this, but that’s to be expected considering the massive hoppiness.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle shared by MisoW at RB Tasting Vienna March Edition. Thanks!
Amber/orange, hazy body, with a big, creamy, light beige head.
Aroma with a lot of fruity hops, like citrus, stone fruits, berries, but also a heavy malt presence of biscuit and honey.
Taste follows this, but with even more honey like malts.
Medium, quite creamy mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes sweet malty, zesty, fruity.
Really tasty! Loads of fruity hops and loads of smooth, sweet malts. Inbetween an Imperial IPA and a Barley Wine in my opinion, if not more on the IIPA side. Whatever it is, very enjoyable, big beer!

Bottle. Aroma strong citrusy, orange, resiny hops, real intense. Hazy deep orange colour. Taste is rich with citrusy fruity hoppy goodness, lots of bitterness, less sweetness in comparison. Very good.

Bottle from MisoW, many thanks man. Orange color with medium white head. Sweet malt, citrus hops in aroma. Solid malty base followed by nice citrus hoppy aroma. For me more Imperial IPA than Barley wine, but very tasty.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy brown pour with a light beige head. Aromas of herbal resinous hops and full malty, nutty sweetnes to acompany the hoppy freshness. The taste is very ’american barleywine’ with its emphasis on the hoppy qualities. Full, fesh and rich in taste with only a slight amount of fruity notes. Medium mouthfeel with a medium to soft carbonation. Aftertaste as expected.. Hoppy and lingering.. Good.

Buenisima!!!!
