Poured into a snifter. 4.5 A: Ruddy medium amber color. Two fingers of creamy beige head. Retention is very good for the ABV and lots of lacing is left. 4.5 S: Quite a hop bomb. Citrus and floral hops dominate. Mango, papaya, pineapple, and orange are the big players. Pine and grapefruit underneath. Caramel maltiness with a strong hit of bready yeastiness. 4.0 T: Surprisingly the malt is a big part of the taste. Lots of caramel, lots of peach and candied apple fruitiness. Again, lots of tropical fruits. Mango and papaya are strongest followed by pineapple and orange followed by pine and grapefruit. Mild to moderate yeastiness. The only thing that prevents me from enjoying this more is the bitterness. Bitterness is quite aggressive and lingers well into the aftertaste. The supposed 80 IBUs tastes more like double that. On a lighter note, the alcohol is well hidden. 3.5 M: Heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation. There’s a bit too much chewiness from the yeast for me. It reduces the creaminess. 3.5 D: I’m going to have a hell of a time finishing this bottle with all this bitterness. Still, it’s a tasty beer and I wish I stumbled upon more than one bottle. Great nose and a solid taste. There’s not a whole lot of wheat flavor in this, but that’s to be expected considering the massive hoppiness. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 02-19-2012 04:51:04

Backlog. At Mi2 at Cardinal 06.05.13. Dark golden to pale copper. Aroma of English orange marmalade. Taste of English orange marmalade, balanced with bitterness lingering on in aftertaste. Round mouthfeel. Medium drinkability.

11/20/2011 11:25:44 AM On tap at Beer Temple. Dark amber body with medium head. Nose is hops, fruit, plenty of ABV. Taste is malty, toffee with fruits and some hops in there too. Texture is choppy. Enjoyable. Nice collaboration.

750ml bottle in a taster glass. Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma of caramel and sweetness and chocolate and fruits from the malts, some light wheat, bitter hops, and some dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not the best beer.

Pours hazy dark orange witha small white head. Aroma is dense hops fruity, peaches, grapefruites and pine. Mango to peachy fruity hops flavoured. Sweet, fruity and solid bitter hoppy. Smooth fruity and nice bitter into a lasting fruity far finish.

From a bottle at the Bevog 2nd anniversary. Pours a hazy amber color, topped with a medium sized beige colored head. Mild biscuity aroma with little resin presence. Taste is similar - biscuity, a bit resiny with some molasses feel. Gentle taste with moderate bitterness and a bit too much of warming alcohol. Nice, but nothing that would blow my head off.
