3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ryanfolty (1464) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 30, 2011UPDATED: DEC 21, 2011 Date: September 30, 2011 Mode: Bottle Source: Apple Valley Liquor Appearance: Semi-opaque hazy brownish orange, large head and some lacing. Aroma: Citrus and earthy/floral hops with some spice. Flavor: Consistent with aroma, thin to medium bodied, starts sweet then a strong bitter bite, slight carbonation. Other: Although the bitter bite was strong, it was short lived and this really didn’t have much of an aftertaste like many IPAs.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 rumproasts (1193) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 16, 2013
bottle. Amber with two finger head. Typical of Mikkeller IPA, there’s a fair amount of malt. Very nice hops. Hard to isolate distinctive hop flavors. There’s a little bit of everything going on here (citrus, pine, etc). The malt does a good job of slightly reining in the hop bitterness.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 bth122 (912) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 11, 2013
#900. Bottle. Omaha. Poured a dark golden color with a big head that stayed for awhile. Aroma is hop heavy, with lots of citrus (grapefruit), pine, resin. Medium bitterness. Different water in taste background then AIPAs. Hop resin taste. Hopped up for sure. Average carbonation. I bet this would taste good fresh. A good, citrusy IPA.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TronnyJenkins (78) - Texas, USA - JUN 11, 2013
Very good- but... I think I should’ve had it sooner than I did. Some of the aroma has smoothed out. That being said, it’s still very good. I dig the complexity of all of the hops!
3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Argonian (139) - Athens, GREECE - JUN 8, 2013
Bottle. Pours a red to brown body, with an average creamy light brown head that diminishes fairly quickly, leaving a fair lace. Tropical aromas, there are definitely more hops in this one. But taste was somewhat of a letdown. Yes, heavy bitterness was present, but it was pretty harsh, and not balanced. Medium to almost full body, oily texture, low to medium carbonation level. It definitely was good, but bitterness was a little bit too harsh.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Andy_ (109) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 5, 2013
Copper coloured beer with a nice head and lacing on the glass. Aroma has wood, pitch, flowers and fruits. Taste is mostly dominated by the dry and bitter hops with a medium body. This is how a good IPA should be done.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Vestergaard (113) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - MAY 30, 2013
Pours big surprise. Aroma is pretty heavy malts, fresh hops and lots of them. The taste has got some fruits, oats and so on. Lots of hops of course. I think the nelson sauvin is the most prominent one. Tastes really really good, and the weather is nice!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ansalon (248) - SWEDEN - MAY 30, 2013
Pours hazy amber. Aroma is mango, peach, apricot, pine. Taste is tropical fruit, pine cones, resin, caramel, some bread. Quite nice!

Ever-so-slightly hazy, red-orange colour, with the just off-white-to-white head. Aroma is citrus hops, a bit soapy, some grass/hay. Taste is well balanced, not too sweet, with a nice subtle(ish) bitterness all the way through. Texture is oily, with light carbonation.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BaroneBirra (157) - Gorizia, ITALY - MAY 17, 2013
0,33 bottle from Il Pretesto Beer Shop
Pours clowdy amber with big, soft off-white head.
tropical fruity (mango?) hops aroma, not so strong.
lots of bitter hop at the first taste, with fruity notes in the nose. long bitter final.
some malts in the aftertaste. average body, quite fizzy texture.
maybe a little too bitter, but what else to expect from ten hops?
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 MalcolmTucker (521) - SCOTLAND - MAY 16, 2013
Bottle. Smells great with a very strong tropical fruit aroma. Flavour doesn’t quite match the promise of the aroma - well balanced hops and restrained bitteness with a condsiderble malt presence. Restrained, balanced and subtle.
