4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This is THE IPA to beat in my book. Combines a bracing pacific northwest and continental hop blend with smooth German caramel malts for a beer that is both a showcase for smart use of hops and very drinkable for its 6.9%. Aroma is bright and full of citrus character with some spiciness courtesy of the EKGs in there. The malt backbone carries the hops but never showcases itself, and while I am a huge fan of highly malted beers I appreciate that this blend does exactly what it is intended to do. While bitter enough to please the hop heads, this beer ends on a balanced note that is both clean but still allows residual hop bitterness to linger. Pours a murky unfiltered pale brown with a solid off-white head and scads of messy lacing. Not a hop bomb, but rather a showcase in restraint and drinkability. Seek it out.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy dark orange pour with a massive white frothy head. Aroma is citrus with light malt and some piney hop. Flavor is strong citrusy hop, great malt-to-hop balance. Finish is slightly dry with malt and hop and citrus lingering. Another perfectly balanced Mikkeller, from beginning to end.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Orange/amber pour. So many hops in it that it is hard to distinguish them thus just a pronounced hop aroma. Good mouthfeel provided from the Munich Malt and a slight sweetness from the Cara. Quite bitter. Generally a nice beer of the American IPA style.

0,33 l bottle kindly provided by my wife. Pours a hazy orange body covered by a frothy off-white head. Subdued grassy piny nose. Bitter, fruity hop juice with a long finish. Medium to full body.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a deep orange with a huge white head that leaves lacing all the way down the glass.
Smells mostly of hops of citrus and pine variety.
Good citrusy hop character up front rounding into a slight malt sweetness and a very bitter pine finish. The finish is really a bit overpowering even for the style.
Mouthfeel is light-medium with good carbonation level.
Not bad, but nothing special either especially for a $5 12 oz. The lingering aftertaste is really what makes this one a bit iffy.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Copper hue, off-white frothy head and medium lacing. Delicious breakfast juice (grapefruit, passionfruit, banana, pawpaw, orange) aromas with a hint of biscuity malt at the end. Tiny glimpse of malt sweetness at the very front of the palate which leads into pine cone and oily resin. The malt returns in the mid palate, but it is interwoven with all the hops, creating a bitter caramel and long, dry finish. Well balanced meaning it isn't as bitter as it could be, which is a good thing. They've got it just right. My type of ipa. Classy beer.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Aroma very nice, floral, citrus, chemical but in a good way, resin, pine, everything, all the hoppy stuff but not overpowering. Taste is good, similar mix of tastes but seems balanced. Nice bitterness, bit caramel, grassy, tastes like a leaf. Think I was pissed at this stage, but it was very nice.

4.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
The best in mikeller shop series. This one is a blend of 10 hops and it has a real nice fruity an hoppy flavor. Real smooth an smells citrusy.
