3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2012 On tap at ōlfestival 2011. A minimal sized off-white head sits on top of a light amber, almost clear body. The aroma is fruity and quite hoppy, with pine cones and a malty sweetish impression. A bit one dimensional flavor, as expected, it feels quite unneccesary to do a beer like this, itís bitterness and hops all the way, in one big mess. Medium to full body, almost astringenly bitter. Well, even though Iíve written some harsh words, I like the beer, but it sure needs the body and ABV of its bigger brother. Rating: 7-3-6-3-13-3.2. 110526
Bottle. As 1000 IBU Ultramate. A big off-white head forms over a clear, amber colored body. The head soon diminishing into a thin layer of bubbles. Lacings left. The aroma feels thin in a strange way, donít know why it should. Resins, green pine cones and citrus peel, with some caramel maltyness. The flavor is sweet and caramel-ish in the back, but itís still dominated by resiny, green pine cones-like hops and bitterness. Medium body, dry. Lasting bitterness in the end. An interesting beer, but not very drinkable and pleasant. It certainly lacks balance, but of course, thatís intended. 120218

3.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2012 (Draught) Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. The aroma is fantastic - boatloads of green hops/hop bag, woodsy pineapple, pine, strawberry jam, lychee, passion fruit, pink grapefruit, vanilla ice cream, peach, metal, resin, star fruit and peppery grass. Undertones of flowers, honey, toast, white bread and caramel. Wow. The flavour is dry, super mega bitter and light to medium acidic from the hops. Resin, grapefruit and raw hops. The mouthfeel is watery and aggressive tart and numbing from the hops. Uber bitter, 10h lingering finish. Light bodied.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Hazy orange with a medium offwhite head. Powerfull grape, citrus and herbal hop aroma. Flavor is strong bitter, not as extreme as the ibu light for some reason, though the beers are quite alike. Dry bitter finish. One dimensional, but quite drinkable

Sleight hazy amber with a small baige head. Aroma is all about hops. Grape comes to mind along with grass and pineapple. Body feels abit watery compared to the all dominating bitterness. Somehow i enjoyed the original alot, but the bitterness is over the top for my tastebuds. Think its the first time i feel this way about hops, its like eating Them raw.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with an off-white head. Decent lacing. Strong, clean sweet grape fruit aroma with a bit of malt in the background. Very nice. Bitter, sweetish citrus flavour. Finish is pretty damn bitter, with a lingering dryness. A bit too much carbonation. Overall quite good. Sort of one-dimensional, but well-made; the bitterness in the finish isnít completely balanced, but considering the IBUs I think itís a pretty good job, and itís so much more bitter than the initial flavour, that itís easy to separate the impression from the rest of the beer. 11.02.12.

2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Draught at Mikkeller: I just luv hops. But this is golden water with a little malt and way too much hop bitterness. Aroma is delicious, though. Flowery, piney, grassy. A shame, taste is so horrific. Extremely unbalanced, yet quite interesting. Undrinkable after a sip or two...

Light head, amber golden. Hoppy nose. Medium body and then ..... MASSIVE HOPS ATTACK. Wellbalanced and long but hoppy-
bitter-hoppy all the way from your lips to your stomach. I guess its impossible to taste anything afterwards. To much but aol amazingly welcomposed. Do I like it? Not really.....
