Now we have a beer with too much of everything! Perhaps those Mikkeller guys were just joking when they brewed this.

From 12.75oz bottle (thanks, Rob) Pours a murky dark yellow - good thing I was warned to shoulder-pour. Smoother than a 1000 IBU beer should be - I expected my tongue to be melting, but it isn’t.

Klimaet (155) - Aarhus N, DENMARK - AUG 21, 2014
Bottle. Pours a dark cloudy amber with an offwhite big frothy head. Aromas of pines and very grassy hops up front. Slightly caramel-ish. Taste is SO hoppy up front. Even more than I remembered. It’s pretty smashing. Lots of pine, some caramel and very much grass and some earth. I’d sure like this fresh at some point. This was about 4 months old, sadly.

Xavalias (154) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 16, 2014
Bottle. Pours hazy dark amber to brown with a big creamy, yellowish, persisting head. Pellets of yeast floating up and down. Nose is fruity, freshly pressed orange juice, sour candies. Strong hoppy aroma: bitter grapefruit, caramel, toffee, some pine resin, turning fruity, dark ripe fruits. Strong malt base. Taste is highly bitter of course, but not as much as one would expect due to the very sweet balance. Full bodied, oily, very long hoppy aftertaste. Exactly as advertised, bold even by Mikkeller’s standards, but not very drinkable.

Bottle. Hazy darker orange, lots of trubby stuff in the bottle. Hoppy nose. Green resinous, with oranges, green berries, some cat pee. Rather dark though, more of a dark foresty piney than fresh fruity. Fullish body. very intense, with a long hoppy finish. Pine needles, caramel malts. Bitter. Has a lot of sweetness, but it gets washed away with the bitters.

Good bitterness. This is the beer if you to make your friends experience bitterness. It is not really made to have interesting hop aroma so don’t expect much. One thing for sure is you’re gonna have your taste buds overloaded with bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden and the sweetness is medium. A must try, at least once.

Dark amber hazy color, medium beige head. Aroma of malt tropical fruits, pine, honey and hops. Taste has similar notes - sweet with heave bitterness and super long hoppy aftertaste. Full body and soft carbonation, alcohol is very well hidden. Nice double IPA and much more drinkable than I expected from the name.

Butelka 33cl. Gdzieś tam z tyłu można dojść do aromatów podobnych do soku z jabłka, gruszki i wiśni. Gorycz zalegająca i piekąca. Super. OCENA : smak : 8/10 pijalność : 5/10 styl : +2

Thick double IPA with a really nice foam. Brutally bitter. Syrup consistency. The bitterness will not get the lowest of the palate.
