Pub Browar Spółdzielczy 27/03/2016. W aromacie cytrusy, żywica i trochę owoców egzotycznych. W smaku półwytrawne, cytrusowo – żywiczne z potężną goryczką. Piwo smaczne lecz mało pijalne.

Tap @ Mikkeller bar, Aarhus. Light hazy golden pour with a small white head. Tons of pine sap, resin, some grains, caramel and heavy bitter. A bit over the top.

33cl bottle served in a Teku glass. Pours thick and dark brown with a tan head - this is not your average IIPA. Not as much hop aroma ravaging your nostrils as you may expect but by anybody’s standards this is one hoppy beer. Taste is an explosion of resinous hops with a mildly sweet malt backdrop (which I suspect is actually quite strong but compared to the oily hops is moderate). The mouthfeel is so thick that when swirled to create even more masses of head and lacing the bubbles struggle to surface - such is the viscosity of this beast. Truly massive but not a party trick one dimensional bitterfest that many reviews would have you believe. You would no way belive this was 1000 IBUs - yet I haven’t had a more bitter beer (perhaps apart from Black) so in that respect maybe you would. So well balanced considering the mass of flavour going on here. This is truly a testament to Mikkeller that even when they attempt to brew "an experieice" (quoting Mr. Mikkeller here) that it is insanely delicious and much better balanced than these malt messes that pass for IIPAs these days.

W aromacie czuć, że świeże: skojarzenie z cytrusową galaretką posypaną cukrem kołatało się ciągle po głowie. Do tego lekkie tropiki, pachniało soczyście. W smaku pełne, likier chmielowy z wysoką i niestety nazbyt długo zalegającą goryczką o charakterze ziołowym. Soczystość i pełnia piwa nie dawały odporu. Mimo niezaprzeczalnej smakowitości piwo męczy.

Bottle @ home. Aroma of citrus and resin hops and caramel. Hazy brown amber with off-white head, mostly lasting. Taste is not that bitter, moderate bitterness, some alcohol sweetness, light+ sweet. Full body, oily feel, avg. carb., loooooooooong bitter finish,

0.33 l bottle from ’Saveur Bičre’, best before January 2018. Slightly hazy, reddish amber with a large, creamy, stable, tan head. Sweetish, fruity-resiny aroma of mango, passion fruit, orange, pine and some honey. Sweetish, fruity-resiny taste of orange jam, mango, passion fruit, wild honey, some caramel and pine, followed by a long, very bitter, resiny finish. Full body, thick and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. This is expectedly really bitter, but there is enough sweetness and body from the malts to balance it. It’s absolutely delicious and surprises me a bit, since I considered this beer to be a marketing gag. Chapeau!
