Bottle with PAt. 22 oz. Pours a hazy chesnut with an insane amount of light, tan sediment. Tall, creamy, beige head. Aroma of vanilla, honey, caramel, oak, cedar, bourbon, and just about every imaginable hoppy, resiny note one can imagine. Insane, thick, full body with a chewy, sticky, bitterly sweet palate. Finishes with a buttery silky smooth warmth. Excellent, insanely unique imperial IPA.

Pours murky copper with a small fading head. Nose shows piny, resinous hops in abundance with a similar amount of caramel and golden syrup underneath. Crazily full-on flavours, a lengthy assault of tongue-coating, abrasive hops. Big piny and grapefruit notes again, with some caramel in the background thats almost completely hidden. The bitter seems to linger indefinitely...

On tap at firkin of libertyville. Pretty dark amber color for imperial ipa. Malty and hoppy and very bitter but balanced overall. Residual hoppy bitterness lingers on palate considerably. Unique as imperial ipas go and highly recommended for a hop heads bucket list! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Extremely sweet and bitter. Flavors of citrus, earth, and eucalyptus all come through. Not extremely harsh, but definitely has a lingering bitterness to it.

Draft. Snifter. Dark honey color. Aromas piney, little citrus. Strong bitter taste, well named beer- not for everybody! Maybe grapefruit in there too. Rare find on draft, but worth the rare price!

Murky caramel with decent, creamy, tan head / Bright, big, nose of caramel, pine, caraway?, and citrus / Full body, creamy, chewy, and sweet, with big hop bite, and good, bitter finish / Rich flavors of fresh caramel, cut pine, grapefruit, orange, pineapple, and herb / A monster, but beautifully balanced.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar Pours amber with low head Aromas of caramel malts, citrusy fruit and some sweet fruits. Almost red ale in taste. Very bitter ending but not near to what id expected. However nice caramelly taste. Not as hoppy as id expected but i guess most hops are bittering. Well done!

Poured on tap at Local Option in Chicago. Thick white head sat atop a cloudy, yellow-brown, swampish beer. The head persisted to the last sip and left some lacing all the way down. The abundant aroma was of noble hops, earthy and flowery. Like walking through an alpine meadow. Flavor is again of noble hops, but it’s almost buried below the overwhelming bitterness which persists long after the last sip. This one is all about the aroma.

24.04.2012. On tap at Henrik, Bergen. Dark amber brown colour with off-white head. Malty aroma with strong aromatic hopping. Very rich beer with strong body and lots of flavours of hops. There is also some malt sweetness. Very good beer with a strong lastimg bitter aftertaste.
