Aroma is very promising, & the first taste is very promising, but then it just goes straight to bitter. Leaves much to be desired taking the aroma into account. Seems like the floral hoppiness just disappears into bitterness... BUT... maybe this is what they were going for with the 1000 moniker?

IPA esagerata.

Hazy solid copper coloured with a yellow-beige large frothy head with solid lacings. Aromas of ripe fruits such as overripe mango, papaya, passion fruit with lots of spruce, dank grass and pine underpinned by caramel tones. Surprisingly fine carbonated, slick and full bodied. Brief fruity-caramel sweetness is overwhelmed by a wagon load of resinous, piney hop bitterness. Profoundly dry, dry and dry! Not really harmonic. The finish is lasting for a great length. Definitely a beer good for palate cleansing when eating food.

(330ml bottle from Kihoskh.dk) Pours a very dark reddish copper with a moderate dense off white head that lasts and leaves lots of lace. Aroma lead by grapefruit peel and flesh with a rich burnt sugar core, pine resins and maybe a bit of candied orange. A bit weak on the nose for a big IPA. Palate is intense with a hefty caramel core with loads of marmalade, grapefruit peel, light mango, pine tar, pure hop resin feel. The sweet core is impressive but necessary to offset the increasingly intense bitterness that builds up to a very high level in the finish, leaving the beer bone dry and astringent by the end. The sweet fruit is replaced by pine resin, some citrus oil (makes me think bergamot). Bitterness lingers a long time. Medium bodied with high but soft carb and maybe a touch of alcohol beneath all the scalding hops. No joke here, the bitterness is the dominant factor and it’s got a hefty caramel malt structure for style to hold it. Not that bright and fruity but it does retain decent balance given the heft. For a bitterness-forward IIPA it’s a good one.

12 ounce bottle and pour is a dark copper color with slight redish hue. Tons of hop particles floating in suspension. Very creamy fluffy tan head that lasts. Not very much at all in hop aroma. First sip is highly carbonated and then slammed with hop bitterness. Medium bodied. Seems like a bit of a novelty beer that the Brewer said how bitter can I make this? Hey total palate wrecker.

Piwo miedziane, klarowne. Piana zbita jak ubite białko. Bardzo trwała. Pieknie lepi szkło. Za wygląd brakuje oceny wyżej niż 5. Aromat najlepiej oddaje jedno słowo intensywność. Poza tym chleb, cytrusy, owoce. W smaku zgodnie z zapowiedzią wyraźna dawka goryczki, Jakby pić skórkę od grapefruita. Wysycenie niskie. Wytrawne. Goryczka utrzymuje się w przyjemny sposób, jestem daleki od nazwania tego zaleganiem.
