Draught @ Phred’s in Hokkaido !
Huge aroma, makes its presence known with the beckoning smell of beervana. Thick and substantial it starts out hoppy and becomes richer and more balanced as the beer fills your mouth. Doesn’t ever feel like an extreme hop experiment, it is a wonderful balance of just right bitterness with wonderful sustaining malty sweetness. Long, long, finish which again turns bitter but in such a good way !!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours clear amber with a massive lacings and a huge rocky thick head. Aroma is quite malty with crackers, caramel, pine, grapefruit, citrus, resin and herbal hops. Taste is near heavy sweet and bitter. Body is medium+, texture is oily/sticky, carbonation is moderate. Finishes bitter and hoppy. Not really the hop monster one might expect.

Que locura de cerveza. Parece un zumo de cereales bastante espeso. Un amargo intenso que se va convirtiendo en dulce y notas especiadas tipo romero. Esta cerveza no es para principiantes.

500 mL bottle shared at an impromptu tasting at Tippins. Thanks Dom! The pour is definitely a bit darker. Like a brown-ish tint to a nice light IPA. There is a pretty thick foamy head that hangs around, slowly dissipating into a film with some great lacing. The aroma conceals the advertised 1000 IBUs pretty damn well. There is a big citrus (mostly grapefruit) and hop presence, but there are also some underlying sweet malt and caramel tones. The flavor is a little conserved at first, but it is a definite bitter bomb. It’s not as sharp as I would anticipate, but the bitterness is solidly embedded into the tongue. There is a good citrus and malty caramel character, but the bitterness takes over and dominates that sweetness. The mouth feel is a bit thin, but the carbonation is surprisingly good, and the aftertaste... Whoa. It’s just that bitter bomb that lasts and lasts. This is just surprisingly good

I brefer more than few, this is it, it’s definetlly more! 1000 IBU is very accurate, beautiful light-brown top, dark-brown color and sour-bitter taste. Gets better with every sip. Like that it doesn’t have fizziness at all.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
0,33L bottle, BB 12.2015. Pours hazy copper with off white head. The head stays. The lacing is extra nice. Aroma is mango, fruits, pine, and grapefruit. Taste is fruits, caramel, and hoppy grapefruit bitter. Finish very long grapefruit bitter. Overall: great beer; if you like hoppy beers, you’ll love this one.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours dark hazy orange amber, with a big foamy offwhite head, that lasts forever and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aromas of peach, grapefruit, caramel, floral and some weird bubblegum/perfumy stuff. Taste is heavy both in bitterness and sweetness, and the bitterness sticks to your palate for ages.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines. A suitable beer to celebrate LEICESTER CITY being PROMOTED TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE. Outstandingly tasty - smooth, balanced, powerful, juicy, grainy. Gosh, this is just delicious. Really splendid: wish I could drink it everyday.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Beer from trade with Meilby - thank you so much! The beer pours out in a deep dark brown-amber colour with steady head and medium body. Aroma of bitterness, leaves and spruce. Taste of very bitter hops, citrus, grass and pine. Light hints of medicine. Very bitter and unquaffable, hard to drink. But also very refreshing, special and different.
