3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hens (201) - Tallinn, Estonia, ESTONIA - MAY 24, 2013
0,375L bottle. Fruity citrus, plum juice aroma. Bitterness is dominating and kills other tastes. I like this bitter taste, but something else is missing. Little rotten potato or samagon flavor somewhere. Srtrong spicy bitter end. Finish is the best part of this beer.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 NBird (142) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 23, 2013

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Lupulucid (2) - - MAY 19, 2013 does not count
This beer is challenging for me to evaluate. I think it deserves a perfect score for presenting as advertised and supported by many fine qualities behind that. The mouthfeel supports the intense hop bitterness and the alcohol is well tuned to let the hops shine. The bitterness is intense and focused. There is complexity but flavor and aroma take a back seat to a bittering tour de force. This beer is well crafted and its approach is one I can appreciate, but not my favorite.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Idiosynkrasie (1853) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 12, 2013
375ml bottle. Hazy amber colour with huge, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, orangey off-white head. Intense fruity and resinous hop aroma has notes of orange, mandarine, grapefruit, lemon, sweaty caramel malty basis. Taste is initially fruity with notes of melon, grapefruit, sweaty caramel malty basis, citrusy overtones, then more and more narrowly bitter hoppy, later once again slightly fruity undertones; in the lasting finish really bitter hoppy, no hints of alcohol. More than just an experimental gimmick.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 DrSilverworm (2733) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 10, 2013
12.7oz bottle, shared with DanielCoor. Totally hazy dark amber color. Kind of red. Good thin khaki head. Awesome lace. Super nice resiny, lightly citrusy rindy aroma. Lightly spicy, kind of earthy, huge hoppy aroma. Bigger body. Nice smooth creamy light carbonation. Awesome super-long aftertaste. Bitter taste, but not 100+ IBU bitter. Some degree of sweet in there, too. What really shines here is the cool assertive west-coast style hop profile. Very hoppy. Probably the best DIPA I’ve had from Mikkeller yet.
4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Patrickctenchi (1700) - columbus, Indiana, USA - MAY 3, 2013
Deep green bottle...paper wrapped.
Pours hazy, thick, amber-brown with a heavy tan head.
Aroma is.....massive. Pine, juniper, resin.
Raw, punishing bitter....even has a slight peppery burn.
It’s like gnawing on a raw, fresh hop bud.
Thick bodied, any sweetness is obliterated halfway across the tongue....
wow......

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Ibrew2or3 (5777) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - APR 30, 2013
The paper wrapped 0.375L green glass bottle with the widest possible cap (I love this bottle style) pours with a hop hazed all to hell totally opaque copper to dirty orange juice body and supporting a dense tan head of foam that leaves behind spotty lacing. Great menacing hazed murky look to this beer. The aroma offers up a big thick sludgy plume of malt infused pine sap clouds as well as faint rings of cracker like malts drizzled with molasses. The taste is all thick and sticky pine hops swirling around in a sweet sense of maltiness. This is bitter, resiny and deep with rich pine hop flavor. I can really sink my teeth into this terrific sipper. Loved it. This has yummy bruising hoppy goodness from front to back.

On draught at Whole Foods Mayo. Pours cloudy orange brown and eggshell head. Aroma is caramel, resin, pine. Taste is sweet with caramel and a touch of butterscotch. Full bodied and sticky. Good, but a bit too Cara Elly.
