Iím excited and scared to try this. Iíve heard great things about mikkeller, but so far Iím 0/2 with trying their beers. Pours hazy dark copper with big fluffy cream-colored head. Big aroma of a good IPA: grapefruit, pine, and hint of caramel. Nice full mouthfeel, a touch on the chewy side. Great flavor that starts with a woody and citrussy bitterness on the tip of the tongue, grapefruit aroma is replaced with a orange peel and ripe sweet orange, piney, a bit of caramel and a lot of white bread. Just a bit of pepper from the alcohol, but not at all hot or boozy. Finishes with a great hop bitterness that balances the beer well. I expected something over the top, unpleasant, and puckering based on the name and the last beers that I tasted from Mikkeller, but this is a very nice finish. Thereís also just a touch of malty sweetness to accompany the bitterness in the end. Leaves a dirty bitterness - like apple peel-for the aftertaste.

On tap at Sergioís World of Beer. Pours a super thick with a thick off white head that completely laces the glass. Murky reddish amber in color. Nose is slightly nutty, with a resinous scent that dominates. Flavors of pine, toffee, and a huge bitter hop finish. Mouthfeel is very thick and syrupy. Try this if you can.

Suprisingly dark red, hazy body, with a big, creamy, stable, beige head, that sticks to the glass a lot.
Aroma of citrus, red berries, peach and other stone fruits, some tropical fruits, caramel, tea.
Taste with about the same aromas, some additional roasty notes and the bitterness soon coming through.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a medium carbonation and in the finish the dry bitterness dominates and lasts forever, but there is also some roastiness, citrus, berries, stone fruits and a slight alcohol warmth.

Interesting and pretty unique. As expected with a strong bitterness, but well balanced by pleasant berries and stone fruits, caramel malts and even some roastyness. A heavy beer though that I canít drink much, not only because of the strong bitterness, it is also pretty filling.

Didnít get as much hop flavour or aroma as i thought i would from this beer. A strange kind of earthy, whiskey style flavour is present. It is very bitter but it feels like it lacks in late hop additions. I would get an Evil Twin Molotov Cocktail if you wanít to experience an intense imperial IPA that takes hop flavour and aroma to the extreme.

"looks slightly darker than the avg IIPA. Huge hop aroma, but some malt does come through as well. feel is thick, not quite sticky. flavor bitter and citrus, but no more than a 100 ibu beer. very good, but not worth the price tag. one and done for this bad boy."

330ml bottle. Dark brown colour, hazy with lots of yeast carryover, foamy beige head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, toffee, orange hops. Taste is sweetish malty, caramel, toffee, with orange, citrus rind, woody pine, hop resins, grassy earthy bitter. Medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, lingering dry and very bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

August 15, 2014. Bottle, best before april 2016. Pours light hazy amber/red with a large creamy off-white head. Aroma is grass, pine, citrus and caramel. Taste is light/medium sweet resin and caramel up front, increasing dry grassy bitterness leading to a very dry bitter finish with light caramel notes in the background. Medium bodied, mouthfeel is light sticky caramel together with dry grassy hops.
