3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
0.33 l bottle. Hazy amber color. Aromas of peach, black currant, lemon and hay. Bitter and slightly sweet flavor with peach, tart lemon, nutty-toffeish maltiness. Medium body. A bit different Mikkeller, not so heavy and more drinkable, a better.

Backlog purge. On tap at the Twisted Tasting in Santa Cruz. Pours copper gold with a whitish head. Oh yeah, Iím really tasting that .7% Super Galena coming through. Yawn, another malty Mikkeller IPA with froot-loop hoppiness. Cara-crystal malt? Ugh.

citrus, resin, bread, amber, hazy, frothy, white foam, light sweetness, very bitter, medium body, oily feel, average carbonation, bitter. Actually very balanced and complex beer. Not as good as the 10 though.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Should taste like rainbows going by the label (Dave) // 33 cl. bottle @ home purchased @ Hopduvel // pours a murky fox brown amber with a big creamy off-white head // smell is dominated by Sorachi Ace, soft almost sweat touch, earthly sorachi, rounded off by some earthly citrus, raw pine resin and strawberry hops (like the ones Flying Dog tends to use - wonder which American hops do taste like strawberries?) // sorachi ace continuous to dominate in the flavour, bitter earthly, pine resin, raw, earthly lemons, light strawberry, exotic/passionfruit, earthly malts, touch fruity sweetness, almost herbal in the back, taste hollows out a bit in the end unfortunately // hazy, murky body, unfortunately a bit too hollow at times // mainly for sorachi ace lovers

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Tomlinsons Beer Shop, Inverness
Deep orange amber, very hazy, fluffy white head that dissipates, good lacing
Aroma - Complex hop aroma...smooth orange, strawberry, pineapple, grapefruit all blurred together...sweet juicy golden malts, resinous hops
Taste - sweet juicy golden malts, some bitter orange zest, citrus resinous hops, tropical fruits, orange, grapefruit, resinous hops, soft grassy, good hop flavour, well balanced, as much flavour as higher abv IPAs, not as complex as expected, still good flavour
Palate - medium carb, quite fizzy, medium body, quite viscous. Fairly bitter resinous zesty middle. Finish as main flavour - bit dry, resinous bitter zesty fruity blurred linger
Overall - Easy drinking IPA - despite the 19 hops used its not as complex - they merge and some flavours cancel out - itís more a blur of hop flavours. Maybe the 10 is more complex. - and itís better

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Hazy deep amber pour, huge creamy just off-white head. Aroma is grassy, plants and resin. Flavor is bitter, spicy and lively hopped with a nice combination of up-front hops, and finish hops with a lot of different flavor that follow each other up nicely. Nice brew.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear amber colour, off white head. Aroma of hops (duh), citrus, light hay, pine and tropical fruits. Light malts. Flavour bitter hops, light sweet malt. Quite sticky, finish tropical fruits, citrus and pine.
Yes, I know it is somewhat over the top to make a beer with 19 hops in, but still, it is a lovely brew.

Whatís the point in 19 hops? I dunno, but Mikkeller struggle to produce bad beers even if they feel gimmicky.
