3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by sonnycheeba. Pours lightly hazy amber with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is earthy, citrus, and resin hops with fruity esters and biscuit malt. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness with light malt and fruity esters, and a dry, nearly astringent finish. Medium body and carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
In short: Archetype of the American IPA. Straightforward IPA beer that doesn’t overdo anything.
How: Bottle 330ml at The Bishops Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm.
The look: Clear deep golden body topped by a medium beige head with good retention.
In long: Nose is blunt hoppy with a burst of citrus fruits, tobacco and pine-tree. Taste is very well malted, loaded with nice toasted caramelized malts. In mouth the hop signature is unsurprisingly everything that modern IPAs can be, with maybe the coniferous aspect a bit more dominant than the other typical modern IPAs hop flavors (citrus fruits, tropical fruits, freshly cut grass, etc.) Bitterness of medium intensity, mild resinous after-taste. You would expect that a gimmicky beer like this (19 hops!!!) would feel unfocussed but this is was very well made and it didn’t feel like it was trying to throw everything but the kitchen sink at you. Another beer from Mikkeller, these guys keep making new beers every week and I keep buying them, it has to stop, I swear I will either defeat consumerism or I will die buying.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a somewhat cloudy deep golden amber with rocky offwhite head. Plenty of lacing as it falls away. Aromas are dominated by the hops as expected. Plenty of tropical fruits and sour citrus. Flavours are initially super sweet before a super resiny bitter finish, The sour citrus really come through on the finish. Sorachi ace really seems to dominate from mine. Hops resins really linger. Medium mouthfeel. Nice beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Poured cloudy dark amber color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This a very good brew.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle form Liam’s. Hazy amber pour with a small white head. Lots of pineapple, grapefruit, melon and earthy hops with a solid caramel malt backing. More bright citrus, tropical fruitiness, flowers and a touch of spiciness through the flavor with some good sweetness. Hint of soured berries. Medium bodied and a resiny bitter finish. Pretty solid.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Stirchley Wines; pours cloudy amber, beige head, this is bursting with tropical fruit hoppy goodness. They just threw hops at this all 19 of them but the top two percent wise are some of my favourite Simcoe and Citra. Mmmmmmm.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Mane Liquor. Vibrant orange with a foamy white head. Nose is hoppy as hell. Loads going on. The whole beer kind of comes across as passionfruit yoghurt. Creamy, fruit driven and sweet. I enjoyed it

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at mane liquor. Pours a hazy dark golden with a medium thick off white head. Aroma hops out of the glass! Tropical and citrus fruits are full on backed a hectic hop presence. Taste is quite hoppy and fruity with caramel malts at the back end. Quite heavy on the palate with a bitter after taste. Pretty cool beer I like it.
