3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Faith in Mikkeller restored with this one. Who knows if this is just a blend of all the single hops Mikkeller has released but it damn well works!
On draught @ The Sail & Anchor, Fremantle.
Orange copper and hazy with a well defined, silky off-white crown that lasted the length and left behind a thick lace. Initial burst of car freshener; camphorous and reminiscent of a pine forest. A few swift swirls offers up an intoxicating burst of fruit; peach, apricot, lychee, pineapple and kiwifruit, and a lot of tart grapefruit. A veritable fruit punch of flavour on the palate; more so than the aroma - I am gob smacked by how tangy, juicy and sweet the fruit esters are on this one and I am not a fan of modern IPA’s. Alcohol is not shy offering a warmth to the thick hoppy, bitter and very lengthy swallow. Not harsh in the tail; comes across as candyish yet quenching with a dominant note of strawberries over the punch bowl of ripe fruit. Soft sherry shows, some sweet grain, a little gammy also as it warms but who cares. Good body, nice length and balance with mild carbonation. Delicious.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to snifter (thanks jmborggren). Looks good; an opaque burnt-orange with sticky off-white lacing. Smells of bitter hops and malt. Tastes the same but milder. Average on the palate. A little busy. My guess is that this (in typical Shelton Bros fashion) isn’t fresh.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 33 cl. Pours amber in colour with a massive white head. Lots of exotic fruits in aroma, some sweet notes as well. Bitter hoppy flavour mostly, some hints of tropical fruits. Quite dry.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
slightly cloudy orange pour with an off-white head. Aroma is spicy hops. Nice malt anf hop balance. The hop flavor lingers. Hops are not over bearing. Very refreshing and tasty. Little dry afterwards, Hoptastic beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from De Molen shop, Bodegraven, Netherlands, consumed outside ’Frank’ (camper) at Camping De Maesberg, nr Arnhem, Monday 1st October 2012 Pours amber with huge white head, it is probably foamier than it should be owing to the fact that I knocked it over & lost half the bottle. Good hoppy beer as you might expect, bit of mintiness, with little toothpaste maybe? There isn’t that much sweetness, it is reasonably bitter and a pretty decent beer. Wish I’d not lost half a bottle now. A7 A3 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Hazy amber color. Cream-colored foam. Sweet, fruity hop aroma; very nice. Very tasty bitter flavor with a bit of a dry finish. I don’t know about all the hops this is brewed with, but I enjoyed this IPA very much. Not as full-bodied or complex as I would have hoped.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Tomlinson’s beer shop Inverness. Pours a good deep gold with a massive, airy, pure white head. The hop blend is obviously quite heavy so it is a little muddy but the prevailing aromas are of mango, peach, fruit salad sweets, confectionery. Flavours are similar, really tastes like fruit salads! The bottle was a little tired and I’d love to taste this when fresh.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Amber with a large off-white head that settles to an inch. Hoppy aroma is fairly restrained, but is a pleasant melange of lemon, orange and grapefruit, with a little pine and spice. Bittersweet taste with firm bitterness rushing in pretty much straight away. Caramel and peach join the citrus flavours along with some tropical fruits. Dry finish with lingering citrus and some spices. Good and very drinkable, but not much character from the malt side of things and nothing really distinctive about the hop blend.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very interesting combination of hops, but a bit stale. Probably not the brewery’s fault, but that the bottle was stocked for awhile. Overall notes, first impression -- floral, sugary fruits. Good, would love to have it fresh. Mouthfeel is a little rough.
