Small bottle. Cloudy orange body, medium head. Aroma has... well, hops. Mostly the piney and resiny kind that Mikkeller seems to prefer. Taste is also a bit too dry and resiny. I don’t really understand the use of all these fancy fruity/floral hop varietals in a small amount when its all overridden by Simcoe’s robust pine resin taste as the main component. It’s not a bad IPA but the concept of mixing 19 different hops doesn’t deliver in these proportions.

14/9/17 enjoyed February 7, 2016 in a stemless wine glass. Look - Hazy, dark orange. Thick bubbled, thick off white head. A lot of lacing. Looking at it you expect a heavy, malt bomb. Smell - Bready. Light pine. Light dankness. Light citrus. Taste - Very close to a juicy fruit beer. Not a lot of malt in the taste. Faded hoppiness. Yeast. Pine and resin. Light spice at the very end. Feel - A lot of carbonation. Not dry by any means. Medium to light feel. Overall - It’s like drinking a suicide. Yeah, it’s good, but you look like a fool doing it. I bought this because my favorite number is 19 (Bob Feller, Cleveland Indians). A lot going on. Each sip made me question the last one.

ogivlado (6821) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JAN 25, 2016
On tap at Craft Room Zagreb. Almost clear amber coloured, medium sized creamy off-white head, pleasant fruity hoppy nose. Moderate malty, heavy hoppy, citrusy fruity and mild spicy with notes of alcohol and moderate bitterness in the finish. Nice and pleasant IPA but 6.50€ is highly too much.

Bottle at home shared with Thompson. Gives a small head and looks somewhat cloudy but in an even fashion. Smells very hoppy with some small tints of the outside. Flavour gets mostly dominated by the hops and yeast. Overall, solid beer but a little bitter for my tastes.

Presented this at the Craft Room in Zagreb. On tap. Red-amber body with a white head. Heavy sweet malty aroma, dried fruit, rock candy... nooooo. Taste, yup, more of the same, crystal malt owning the place, green fruit, caramel, the hoppy notes concentrating mostly in the actually quality, notable bitter finish. This is slightly heavier than it should be. Some random hoppy notes, herbal for example, vaguely citric, do show up for seconds before being washed away. You could never say there are 19 hop sorts in here, maybe one or two, mainly bittering, judging from the samples. And that’s a good thing in one way, but man, if you’re doing a gimmick like that make a beer hop forward. This most definitely wasn’t. One of "those" IPAs by Mikkeller - capable of making brilliant pale ales, and yet...

Clear, copper-amber colored, medium white frothy head, good lasting. Aroma is of some caramel malt, crystal, fruity-pine-floral-citrus mix of hops, bit resiny. Taste is medium+ sweet caramel malt, bit biscuit, strong fruity and tropical hops, some citrus and floral, bit spicy, medium+ bitterness, dry finish, lasting aftertaste. Medium+ bodied, soft carbonation, resiny. Sweet fruity mix, got to say I expected more. (on tap, Craft Room, Zagreb)

On tap at Craft Room, Opatovina, Zagreb. Croatia. Hazy light red, medium off white head, lasting. Heavily hopped, biscuit, tropical, rubber. Medium body, bitter but not to much. Light hoppy finish. Impressive hop amount, but without knowing which hops are used at which brewing stage, this means little to me. Tropical hops dominate.

(Mikkeller 19) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 6.9% Very deep orange colour on the body, cloudy, with more than two fingers of thick, off-white head sitting on top, with excellent retention. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, pine needles, light caramel malts. Taste follows, citrus, grapefruit, some tropical fruits too, pine on the finish, a bit spicy, with a nice bitterness on it. Medium thin body, good carbonation and quite dry on the palate. Pretty good.
