Pours a rustic, darker orange color with a finger length of an off white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a semi blanket of lacing on the top. Smells of resinous grass, almost cat piss-like, pine, grapefruit, orange, sweet pineapple and mango. Nice hop qualities but seem subdued due to age. A hint of breadiness and carmel show through as well. Taste is hard to describe with so much going on from the different hops. It starts with more of the bitter qualities of the hops like pine, resin, and a slight grapefruit that then leads into a creamy and sweet, bready malt backbone. Then the hops come back stronger with more complex flavors of pine, grass, tropical fruits, orange, grapefruit, resin, carmel, bready notes. High medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Pretty clean, yet bitter finish. Even being an older bottle, the hops still hold some complexity to them. I think they blend pretty well with one another. Decent offering from Mikkeller.

bottle. Amber with two finger head. Moderate malt base, with a mild sweetness. The blend of hops results in a very nice flavor that makes it nearly impossible to pick out any unique varietial traits. It’s simply hoppy.

Bottle. Burn orange/cooper, little hazy with medium to big, white, densed head. Poor lasting. Average lacing. Mostly tropical fruits aroma (amarillo, citra) and some citrus (orange, mandarin) also floral and resin notes, also noticable hints of honey. Taste is light to medium bitter with mostly tropical fruits and floral flavours, next you cen feel some resin and woody notes. Along with hops there is pretty balanced malty profile with mainly caramel accents. Medium body, smooth/oily texture, medium carbonation, finish is light bitter. In general very solid and balanced IPA, quite drinkable.

Barwa: ciemnozłota, jasnobursztynowa, zmętniona.
Piana: bardzo obfita, kremowa, drobnopęcherzykowa, jednak nietrwała, szybko się dziurawi i znika.
Zapach: średnio intensywny, chmielowy, żywiczny, nuty owoców tropikalnych i cytrusów.
Smak: dość wytrawne, z nutami cytrusowymi, goryczka zdecydowana, wysoka, grejpfrutowo, łodygowa.
Wysycenie: średniowysokie.

The aroma is full of hops, a lot of hops, 19 to be precise and a lot of fruits and flowers as well. The color is dark caramellish. The taste is full of hops, fruits and flowers. The head is frothy and white and the liquid is hazy. The body is full with creamy texture. A really nice beer!

(330ml bottle @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Jan 26 2015) Pours hazy feel orange, huge off white head. Basically all the hop aromas at once! A little bit more towards the orange flesh and tropical fruit end of things. The palate is similar with some caramel sweetness and pretty minimal bittering on the back end. Light alcohol and astringency with citrus pith bitterness. Kind of interesting but a bit of a clusterfuck on the tongue too. Lacks some elegance. Still a quite drinkable IPA if not an amazing one.

@Bishops Arms, Vasagatan (backlog). Orangeish amber colour with a mediumsized foamy white head, that leaves good lace. Aroma is fruity, floral, mild honey and resin like notes as well as some toffee and mild bready notes. Flavour is tropical fruits, pine, resin, wood, some mild floral, earthy and grassy notes as well as some slight caramelly and toffeeish notes. Pleasantly balanced, and the hops do become quite nice, although I expected something quite harsh.
