Pours black with foamy tan head. Smells of roasted malts, buttered popcorn, and a little chocolate/toffee. Tastes of bitter, coffee, oak, chocolate flavor, and lasting bitter on the tongue. Low carbonation and thick mouth feel. Satisfying beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Where: CASK Pub & Kitchen, London.
Appearance: Black colour with a small off-white head.
Aroma: Sour, tequila, dark chocolate.
Body: Full thick body with a rather low carbonation.
Flavour: Starts with tequila, goes over to chocolate, ends with tequila. A rich bitter dark chocolate flavour that is totally dominated by the tequila. Something in the finish just doesn’t taste right.
Comment: Would guess that this beer goes very well with someone who enjoys the taste of tequila. Since I’m no big fan of it, it is hard to enjoy a beer like this.

375 ML into a Mikkeller tulip
Dark cola pour, settles jet black with ruby highlights. Half finger of light brown head that falls to a collar and film. Big ABV legs but hey it is 18.8%
Nose is dark chocolate, prune, oak, whisky, tequila, and some salted caramel notes.
Taste is dark, bitter chocolate, burnt rubber, rubbing alcohol, oak, char, and an odd concoction of whisky and tequila. Need a cigar for this.
Feel is quite light for the style. Slick and oily though. Finishes with a massive char and barrel kick. Lots of ABV punch.
Slow sipper in front of a fire while contemplating having a cigar with my whisky or tequila.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black cola syrup colour with red/brown tinge in light, little and fast disapating head. Smells.. Roasty everything- fruits of raisin, prune. Dark choc, espresso candy and the whiskey and tequila is also very evident. Tastes..dark choc & coffee, fruits in a sweet way plus a salty bitterness, alcohol too through the whiskey and tequila. Extra hairs on my chest now.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured in snifter. Pitch black and like a pretty medium brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, some sugary coffee and that boozy smell you get out of of moonshine. Wow, that’s intense. Booy, salty, burning alcohol, chocolate maybe even some fruits. Some coffee and chocolate, but this beer is really crazy and I like it.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
very dark brown, small brown head.
strong aroma of alcohol / phenolic burning touch, also roated malts, a little wood, and a little peat smoke. After a few minutes in the glass, a more vineaus note appears, and some coconut / vanilla. Flavor is roasted malts, wood, peppery note, faint note resembling bourbon barrel (must be the speyside even though it is not at all bourbon), peat smoke, charred wood, strong charred woody bitterness, note that resemble bitter fruitpeel. Flavor intense beer, but it is also quite a mess imo, comparable to a shot or bitter, say fiskefjæs or krabask or something like that. Although i find it unrefined and unbalanced, it is certanly drinkable - just not really overly enjoyable.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark brown color. Big tequila nose with only a faint hint of dark chocolate. What is odd is as the beer approaches your mouth the tequila vapors disappait and dark chocolate note really start to dominate. Very strong tons of very rich bitterness that just lingers forever, I love this beer. So strong with tequila astringency. The finish is somewhat boozy but for 18% it hides it really well. Very warming.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap. Pours black will a small light-brown head with a bit of thick lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, spices and booze. Taste adds chocolate, licorice, wood and alcohol. Aftertaste of roasted malt, tequila with a bitter finish. Body is full-ish - but not quite as full as I would’ve expected from a 18.8% beer.
