4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Black with minimal to no head. No carbonation sign when I open the bottle. Aroma is alcohol, grapes, vanilla, malt. Full body with low carbonation. In mouth is very chocolate, caramel, candy like, little fruits, vanilla. Finish is a long and smooth sweet and warming taste of chocolate and alcohol. OMG !

0,2 on tap at Kulminator pub in Antwerp-Belgium. Ciao Marko :-) (what a great evening). Pours oily black color with a medium-tall blackish cap (peculiar foamy head). Nose: the strongest blast ever of coffee, licorice, alcohol as well. Mouth: this beer is crazy and certainly not the one you long to drink during a prolonged tasting. Alcohol dominates the palate and disturbs you a bit, unless you sip it responsibly merely to perceive the madness of the brewer (bravo). dark chocolate, alcohol.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black as sin with decent mocha head, especially considering the huge 17.5% ABV. Massive boozy aroma of concentrated espresso, dark chocolate, leather and soy. The taste is equally huge - punch in the face espresso, rich treacle, bitter dark chocolate, port wine, leather tannin and heady booze. Ashy finish. Very full bodied and dry. Definitely not subtle but great flavours; however, a little rough around the edges. Like others have said, I’d be interested to see how this ages.

Has an aroma that says "I’m a huge beer" and a colour that would swallow any light. Taste is a surprisingly balanced one between the strength and the usual cocoa, coffee, licorice hints of an imperial stout. An impressive beer for that - but not one I’d be looking to drink too often.

Syrop na kaszel, słodki mooooooooooocnooo. Ewentualnie miód pitny skrzyżowany z kakao. Ciekawe doświadczenie, niekoniecznie pozytywne.

This one is a killer. Alcohol level is very high, but it’s hidden so well, that you do not even suspect how strong this one is. Nice colour, good aroma (like gingerbread), nice taste. Overpriced in Poland.

Pitch black pour with a huge brown head that lasts and laces well. Huge alcohol aroma with coffee grounds and chocolate. it is like whiskey but it does sport a little bit of citrus. very interesting. Very aggressive taste, it burns and it kicks butt and keeps on looking for more. I can’t believe how layered, aggressive this is. bite, toast and heat. WHAT A PHENOMENAL BREW.

Bottle from BrewDog Nottingham., but been stored for a few months. Deep black beer with a thick foamy tan head. Surprisingly fruity aroma, get the alcohol too, taste is sweet, with a butter finish. Lots of coffee, and roasted malts in the flavour. Great.
