Black with minimal to no head. No carbonation sign when I open the bottle. Aroma is alcohol, grapes, vanilla, malt. Full body with low carbonation. In mouth is very chocolate, caramel, candy like, little fruits, vanilla. Finish is a long and smooth sweet and warming taste of chocolate and alcohol. OMG !

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aged 4+ years (2010 bottle). Black pour under a foamy khaki head. Rich dark coffee and black chocolate nose with a touch of roasted barrel and a kiss of bourbon. Huge sticky flavor with black smokey malt, booze, dark coffee, and deep chocolate. Amazing but also huge. A bit too boozy and phenolic and sticky though.

1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
17.12.2014, 0,375l bottle (2010 vintage) shared @ BBGTC tasting:
Nice light brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry boozy, oak, booze, burnt coffee, burnt caramel, dark malts, ashtray, grass, thinner. Taste is sweet boozy, sugar, sugar, booze, burnt coffee, dark malts, ashtray, grass, oak, and did I mention sugar? Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry harsh boozy mouthfeel. Meh, not for me!

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
375cl bottle served in a snifter. Black with a huge off white head which has two very distinct layers with an almost yeasty froth on top which clings to the glass admirably. Aroma is massive with a capital massive! I though Black Hole was strong but this is on a different level. Dark malts, molasses and (very) bitter black chocolate all competing for supremacy with non being declared the victor. The mouthfeel is spot on and the ABV also clearly evident is not as excessive as some reviews would have you believe. My favourite non-barrel aged Imperial Stout to date.

On tap in beergeek. Aroma full of roasted malt, fruity esters and caramel.
Sweet to sour taste with some bitterness. Very hard to describe or catch any single note it is so complex... Too extreme for me to judge. It is not a beer it is somethig... Something...I dont know ;)

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
375 ml bottle from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass.
App.: Very, very deep black-brown with a full mocha head.
Aroma: Deep, dark and black with roasted, nearly burnt malt, SO much alcohol, cooked green pepper and peppercorns, intense...too much.
Palate: Full-bodied with minimal carbonation.
Flav.: Much like the nose with some additional slight additional depth from molasses, still REALLY boozy; sweet with big bitterness and HUGE moth-numbing alcohol.
Completely over-the-top. I regret opening this alone.

Draught at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell. Poured a thick black, with a dense tan head. Aroma of burnt sugar, roasted malt, liquorice and Oxo. Thick, full mouthfeel. Burnt malt flavours, with treacle, soy sauce, some grassy hop. Finish was earthy, with whisky, booze and rum.
