UPDATED: MAY 29, 2011 Draught at MikkellerBAR. Pitch black - brown head. Burned balts. Fruity. High Sweetness. Chocolate. Nice hoppy. Wooden. Light ashes. Licorice. High malty. Ok hoppy. Bitterness. Berries. Dark sugar. Lovely.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar. Looking quite nice in the glass with its black body and small, tan head. Sweetish, roasted, lightly caramel aroma with licorice, dried fruits and coffee and chocolate. It’s sweet and lightly roasted on the palate, sugary and with something similar to dried fruits. Coffee and chocolate too. A bit short finish. Full-bodied, sweet and warming. A rather intense beer, really tasteful and lovely. 110526

Draught. Black colour, medium light brownish head, good lacing. Aroma has sweet roasty malt with chocolate. Good filling mouthfeel. and Flavour is sweet with a very pleasant roasted maltiness, chocolate, bit dark fruits and a well lasting finish: roasty malty with chocolate and dark fruits. YUM!

...as Abel on dope. All black with almost no head. A creamy beige rim. Aroma has fine astringency, roasted malts, dark chocolate, some fruity tartness. Lowish carbonation, fine dry and light creamy palate. Flavour is very sweet, chocolate, vanilla, light oaky. Quite malty bitter. Some notes of tart black currants. Very vinious. Weird beer and not really my thing.

Black with a small tan head. Aroma of coconut, fruit, chocolate and boozy alcohol. Sweet fruity and chocolate flavour with a strong note of alcohol

pitch dark, small white head. 2 aroma is boozy, faint licorice, malty. 7 flavor is boozy, sweet roasted grains, lots of flowery honey like sweetness, nice boozy flavor. 8

Bottle, gift. Deep dark brown color. Opague. Malt, milk chocolate and licorice in the aroma. Hardly any carbon. Thick on the tongue. Pipe tobacco, licorice and chocolate in the flavor. Some warming alcohol, roasted malt and honey. Delicious, with a long lasting aftertaste.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar. (Abel on dope) Black coloured. Dense brown head. Caramel, roast, vanilla, chocolate and wood in the aroma. Flavour of roast, vanilla, cocoa, chocolate, liqourice and some vague coffee. Medium to full bodied. Has a roasted bitter end.

On tap at Mikkeller bar. Black colour with a tan head. aroma is vineous, dark fruit, malt, coffee. Flavour is sweet, coffee, hop, dark fruit, roasted malt, berries , alcohol, raisin, oak. Very nice beer.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Named Abel On Dope. Black beer with a small head. Malty, nutty, vinous aroma, licorice, figs and raisins. Raisins flavor, figs, oak, vinous, licorice, nuts, cocoa, apples, hops. alcohol. Wonderful beer!
