Tasted on 7/24/13 from a corked and caged 750mL bottle purchased at Belmont Station. Pours cloudy but bright orange with a very thick off-white head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is very dry and super brett funky with a hint of orange peel and just a touch of caramel malt. The flavor is the same, very nicely balanced, very dry, with plenty of spicy and funky brett, and the orange peel and light caramel malt showing nicely. The body is fairly full with lively, stinging carbonation and a long very funky, dry brett finish.

Pours golden orange with a dense off-white head. The aroma has brett funk, underripe apricots, earthiness, dry spices and minor tartness. It has a medium body with way too much carbonation. The taste starts off with lots of dryness, herbal brett funk, green tea, dried fruit and crusty bread. The finish has a heat that seems like more than 8% alcohol and is bone dry. This is good, but the overabundance of carbonation and alcohol heat keep this from being a great one for me.

(750ml bottle) Pours a hazy golden body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of florals, barnyard, leather, citrus peel, and potpourri. Flavor of brett, florals, grapefruit, pepper, and apricot with a dry finish.

Bottle. Pours orange with a big white head. The aroma is citrusy, tart, with pineaplle notes and a small sourness. Lots of orange and grpefruit in taste. A bit dry. Prettt sweet. Notes of vanilla. Easy to drink.

Bottle. Nice Brett compliment to a hoppy ale, quite fruity and some wooden notes.

Psytron (1230) - Turku, FINLAND - JUN 6, 2014
Smell of cider. Cloudy orange colour, very high white head. Aroma of dry white wine, hops, leaves, sour fruit. Also some yeast. Mainly sour, mildly sweet. Soft and highly plentiful carbon. Dry.

Bottle... Hazy peach-colored pour with a small, frothy, white head. Good retention. The aroma is herbal, spicy and lightly acidic with an undercurrent of bitter citrus peel. Medium to full-bodied with an astringent mouthfeel and champagne-like carbonation. The flavor is rindy and bitter with a raspy, bone-dry finish. Bottle courtesy of newcigarz!

5000 (6180) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 30, 2014
Bottle:   Foamed over when opened.   Has that powdery sweet fake sugar aroma I get out of most Danish Pale Ales.   Otherwise some funk, yeast, barnish notes.   Also some citrusy bits.   Yeasty and doughy on the tongue, sweet tart powdery sugary sweetness, with just a touch of funk and barnish notes.   Not too bright.   Pretty boring, not tart, sour, or all that wild in my opinion.   Don’t really care for that fake sweetness either.   A big let down.

15.05.2014, 0,75l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry funky, mild brett, citrus peel, hay, perfume, chalk, weeds, sour socks, leafs, citrus. Taste is kind of harsh perfumed, oak, perfume, harsh brett, weeds, cardboard, barnyard, citrus peel, grass. Longlasting harsh bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Meh!!

Bottled sample shared with oakbluff. Hazy gold in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas are of funk, dried herbs, lemon peel, and crispy malts. Bone dry on the palate, with some sourish funk, more lemon, more herbs, and black pepper.

The cork damn near killed me. Huge white head and a very yeasty nose. Tart and fruity, this sour tastes of what I imagine women’s makeup would tastes like. Great yeastiness and Belgian mouthfeel, not overly sour but a fine beer overall.
