Makes me anticipate the flavor, and there we go. Oh yeah. For just a pale ale, very hoppy and very yummy, but a very even balance of bitter and malt. Happy time. talon1117 (620), Bellvue, Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 27, 2008 Pour is clear and amber with a moderately full, white, creamy, and rocky head which has good longevity and some nice lace. Nose is a bit faint but nice; a malt backbone of nutty caramel and biscuity sweet bread, and hop notes of faint floral, light orage citrus, and some pine. Flavor is similar but more bitterness than I expected; a moderately high bitterness comes through with some pine, a bit of earthy resin, and some light citrus with an almost papaya note with other notes of sweet, biscuity bread as a malt backbone. Palate is nearly medium, lively, somewhat refreshing, and a bit drying. Finishes lightly dry, average length, and balanced between the bitterness and malt backbone; notes of sweet breads, resins, and hints at citrus. A nice pale from Europe with a good balance and still managed to find a moderately high bitterness. So much flavor from a 6% ABV. One of my favorite APA’s and it’s not even from the Sates. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 18, 2008 This poured an orange color. The aroma contains quite a bit of citrus, some honey, and perfume. The flavor is quite bitter with some oranges, grapefruit, lemons, and pine. The finish is bitter but has a malt presence to it as well. Overall this was a nice APA. Glouglouburp (2811), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 18, 2008 In short: An ok standard pale ale a bit on the doughy/dry side for the style
How: Bottle 500ml, drank two bottles very fresh immediately upon reception through private importation
The look: Almost clear orangy-copper body topped by a small off-white head
In long: Standard but pleasant nose of citrus, pine and caramel. Standard Pale Ale flavour spectrum with caramel, citrus fruits some pine tree. The beer is more yeasty than usual for the style. A little spiciness in the hops. Rather big doughy body, a lot of malts. Nice juicy hops but the refreshing nature of the beer is a bit marred by a dry dustiness (yeast?). Overall this is a rather original Pale Ale but although quality-wise it is only slightly above average. Some points for originality but honestly All Others Do Not Pale.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2008 Bottle. Pours a slight hazy amber with a 2 finger beige head and spotty lacing. Nose is caramel malt and floral hops. Taste is caramel malt upfront with some tart citrus and an earthy hop bitter finish. Medium, fairly creamy mouth feel. This is pretty good stuff. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 27, 2008 One of the best APA’s I’ve had. Pours hazy copper with a solid white head. Fresh, crisp hop aroma; lots of pine and grapefruit (for an APA). Nice toasty malt. Clean, balanced hop-and-malt taste. The resin hops and biscuity malt work together without being dry or syrupy. The minimal use of the caramel malt made this beer. There is only a hint of it towards the end. It was a welcome change to the typical ’’lets balance out the hops with a ton of caramel malt’’ that sabotages most of these APA’s.
