Sep 5, 2008 @ tasting session by Joes. A little hazy amber colored beer, with a nice foamy beige head. The aroma starts with a lot op hop, some fruits like grapes and peaches. The taste is a little sweet in the beginning, then a lot of hop bitters. It has also a dry, malty taste, with fruits, like grapes and peaches tones. It has a long bitter aftertaste. It’s a great beer.

Sep 3, 2008 Bottle, 6.0%. Very nice caramelly, citrus hop aroma. Hazy amber colour. Small white head. Good hop flavour, a lot of aroma hops like the aroma. Distinct bitterness, but not rough.

Sep 2, 2008 Bottle 0,33l. Golden colored. A large tanned creamy head lasting for a while. Strong aroma of lemon. Complex flavor of lemon, oranges and grapefruit. A dry bitter aftertaste. Another impressing beer from Mikkeller.

Aug 31, 2008 Rich sweet hoppy aroma. Slight ambered orange color with a dissipating head. Good strong punch of hops on the initial taste. Not overly heavy and a well carbonated bite. Bitter finish and duration. Light grapefruit, some light sweet notes. Slightly dry. Palate is light but the flavor still lingers.

Aug 26, 2008 My Bottom Line:
This ravenous American-style Pale Ale’s perfumey flowery and piney hoppiness opens the way for a portentous earthy and coniferous bitterness, a finish only hopheads can thoroughly enjoy.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A bobbing tower of foam tops the nearly translucent fiery amber.
-For some reason, I had gotten decent caramel whiffs upon uncapping, but they were much quieter once the pint had been poured. This is a nearly all hop affair, so don’t look for balance here!
-The frothy carbonation kind of gets in the way early on, but some breathing does it a world of good.
-The hop profile is a tad soapy at times (mostly in the finish).
-Residual sugars are quite low.
