All Others Pale - as in ’All Others Pale By Comparison’ - is our cheeky take on an American tradition, but naturally with a Danish touch. It is a well-balanced, light-bodied thirst quencher, perfect after a hard day’s work or on hot summer days...but loads of fresh green hops and a subtle malty background make this pale ale the refreshing choice all year round!
Ingredients : Water, malt (maris ottar pale, munich, carapils and caramunich), flaked oats, hops (simcoe, centennial, amarillo and nugget) and ale yeast ABV around 5.9%

Date: February 19, 2012 Mode: Bottle Source: Heritage via BVery Description: Opaque orangish brown pour with minimal head. Aroma is malty/caramel, cardboard and some musky basement thing going on. I think this is well past its prime because taste is not what I am guessing it should have been. Basically a malty sweetness with a very slight bitterness in finish.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2013 Bottle. Old bottle - $1 discounted, and there was dust on the bottle when I bought it. Ooof - well, here’s what we have here in Feb. 2012. Hazy orange pour with a small soapy white head. Aroma and taste of caramel, cardboard, and some citrus hops. Wish it was fresh.

330ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a huge white head with good retention that settled to some nice lacing. Aroma was mostly floral and citrus hops with a hint of toasted malt. Taste is dominated by floral and citrusy hops with some malty sweetness to balance things out. This is a very enjoyable pale ale with a medium body and good carbonation.

poured a clear copper with a large lasting amber head. Aromas of citrus, light carmel and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a lightly dry finish. Flavors of carmel, pink grapefruit, light orange and a hint of pine with a dry lingering bitter finish.

500ml bottle in a shaker. Pours amber with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of pale and caramel malts with lots of citrusy/floral hops and a little cereal. Flavor about the same, but the bottle might be a little old. Average texture. A good beer of this style.

Bottle. Gusher! Pour is dark brown with a big beige head. Good retention and lacing. Aroma indicates this bottle is not so fresh: cheesy hops, grapefruit, pine, resin, some caramel. Taste is quite bitter, more cheesy hops, nuts, pine. Palate is quite bitter, oily. Came off as unbalanced but I’m guessing the trip across the Atlantic didn’t do it any favors.

Bottle @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Originally rated on 22.4.2010. Good, quite well balanced pale ale with a lot of hops and bitterness.

Bottle purchased while in Chicago. Dark amber brown color, big bubbly head. Aroma was a tad sweet for my liking. Hops prevailed but the malt was a little too up front here. A good beer from Mikkeller but certainly not his finest.

Hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and rather hoppy - peach and grapefruit. Flavor is medium sweet and rather bitter. Very dry and rather bitter finish. 180608

Bottle @ home. Pretty clear, red orange appearance with a fairly small off white head. Grapefruit, light Belgian candy, mild to medium hoppy, bready malty flavor. Fairly bready, light to medium grapefruit, pretty malty flavor with a mildly bitter, bready, dry finish. The color, aroma, and flavor all seem a little off.
