16.9oz bottle, on closeout for $2 at DEP’s. Darker color... Red / orange / brown, mostly hazy. Thin khaki head. Medium body. Some lace. Smooth, light crisp carbonation. Good viscosity, but more dry over all. Nice citrusy hop flavor. Good bready malt. Hint of vanilla. Sweeter taste, very light bitter. Very interesting flavor. Earthy. Spicy hops, kind of creamy flavor. Great, sweet pale ale, even as old as it likely is
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Chudwick (1144) - Cincyucky, Kentucky, USA - MAR 5, 2013
16.9oz bottle - pours grapefruit orange with ivory head and great lacing. Nose is caramel, something very similar to the Mendocino malts I love and floral hops. Flavor adds bready qualities. Well balanced and almost chewy. Another European beer that questions my preconception of how a style should taste, look, etc. love it for the aromatic metonymy. Totally worth the $1.99.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 gyllenbock (3022) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 28, 2013
On tap at Bishop Folkis, January 2013.
Slightly hazy amber with a medium white head. Aroma and taste of floral hops, citrus, malt and some toffee. Easy to drink, not that bitter. Descent.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 laiti (4016) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 22, 2013
50 cl bottle @ Kaarna, Helsinki. Rated on 06.04.2010
Aroma has resiny notes, gooseberry bush, some exotic fruits and biscuits. Flavour has caramel, pine needles, resiny notes, some exotic fruits and hints of nettles. A nice, balanced and refreshing APA, too bad that this isn’t in production anymore.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 jmgreenuk (1375) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - NOV 11, 2012
Cask at The Bishops Arms (Gustav Adolfs Torg) Malmo. Hazy reddish brown pour with a thin white head. Fruity caramel aroma which led nicely into the fruity bitter taste. The bitterness is somewhat extreme and heads straight to the palate, but its not spicy and quite well controlled. Is this a pale ale? Well, it's certainly different and not at all traditional. It's a decent beer and packed with flavour though and there is no denying that!
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 mzaar (932) - Varberg, SWEDEN - NOV 1, 2012
På fat @ Vinbarinn, Reykjavik. Wow! Wow, vilken öl! Exotiska frukter och rabarber och citrus och äpple och apelsin i en makalös kombo i både smak och doft. Beskan är i det närmaste perfekt, det finns inte mycket att klaga på någonstans med det här ölet.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ktwse (779) - SWEDEN - OCT 22, 2012
Pours cloudy light amber with small white head. Aroma of resin, citrus, tropical fruit. Taste is nicely balanced with light caramel malt sweetness and hop bitterness at first before a decently long bitter finish. Light, smooth body and fairly low carbonation.
