| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 4, 2008 Amber beer with a big off white head that left sheets of sticky lace on the glass. Nice nose of tangerine peel, manderine oragnes and some pine notes. Definitely a hoppy beer, with grapefruit rind, hop resin, and pine needles. Sharp, fresh hop burn on the tongue, with a long finish of green hops thatend almost grassy. Pretty nice version of a big American pale ale. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 14, 2008 Bottle BB 13/02/09. Lightly hazed orange copper color. Tall, lasting light beige head. BIG aroma punches the nose. Fresh hand rubbed green hops, ruby red grapefruit and pine sap lay down the first assault. AS the head settles and a coat of lace is left behind, some flan and mild banana bread scent filter through. I certainly would have said PNW IPA if I was given this blindly. Somewhat thinner in certain qualities than the aroma suggest. Dry pale malt, and some light caramel start things out. Bitterness rushes in and further dries things out. Light herbal finish and linger, along with a touch of grapefruit zest and ragweed. This need a touch more malt depth for me. The more I think of it this is as good an APA as there is. I’m not a big style person anymore, but by style this one does nail it. As this warms and sets a bit the linger does have a nice return to some toasted malts. If price were not in play, I’d certainly have more of this. kmeves (1081), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 1, 2008 Pours a fairly clear copper. The aroma is nicely hoppy, but the flavor is really more malty (nicely toasty) than hoppy. This is a pretty darn tasty APA. madsberg (5155), Søborg, Denmark
