2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Vinmonopolet’s BU. Amber to copper colour, with lots of white, frothy head. Pepper, yeast and some citric flavours. Also hint of banana, plum and grapefruit. Additionally, in some weird way (cause it’s more interesting than beer-ruining), hint of sick aroma. Bitter and some sour. Some wood and grass flavours as well. Stingy carbonation. Slightly below medium body. Interesting, but not my favourite kind of beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at The Birch. Pours a faintly hazed amber with a medium sized white to beige head. Soft fruity nose, floral, with a bit of brett. Starts off sweet and fruity, like the nose, but picks up a bit of dry brett and some earthy wood qualities. Finishes up with some brett dryness contrasting the sweet fruity malt. Tasty stuff.

This is a strong Belgian ale, a bit too strong for me.
I wouldn’t buy it once again.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Really good clone of the delicious Orval beer. Even the name sounds like Orval to me.
Brett in all its perceptible 'goodness'.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle into tulip. Pours blood orange with thick off white head that clears quickly. Hints of pepper and orange in the aroma, not getting much else. Taste is a big hit of the hop bitterness followed by the pepper, little bit sour too. Long finish with the spice notes. Medium body and carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Peppery saison smell. Flowery, citric, leather, some wood, caramel, sourwood.
Taste is wood and leather, metallic, with a very bitter astringent finish. Lots of citriness but not the usual grapefruit. Like a kickass Orval.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Amber body with a nice beige head. Aroma of dark fruit, malt, earthy hops and a slight acidic note. Taste of spicy yeast, red berries, caramel. Mild lemon acidic towards finish, with a good herbal and spicy aftertaste combined with fruit. Quite good.
