4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a quite clear copper though there is sediment on the bottom of the bottle, oops I guess I should have rolled it... Head is a soapy good couple inches of dull white that leaves fair lace up the glass. Aroma is Belgian yeast, spicy, earthy, and grassy. Flavour is grassy, earthy, mild enjoyable bitterness, Belgian yeast, spicy, some caramel malt, a little funky(which I?m liking) and a bit fruity. This is likely the best Belgian pale ale I?ve had to date!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750ml bottle, shared with b3crew and dudeabide. Mostly clear red / orange color. Bigger off-white head, kind of rocky. Good retention. Bigger body. Soft, kind of stronger carbonation. Very dry finish. Good earthy, spicy hop. Light caramel malt, light metallic. Light bitterness. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, sort of spicy. Flavor is alright for what it is, I guess.. An OK trappist clone. Carbonation and texture is just too strong for this to be enjoyable, though.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Magnum bottle thanks to onkelgobber’s friend.
Appearance - cloudy amber with a generous head.
Nose - definitely like a Belgian Ale, very yeasty and with the sweet malt quite missing in hops.
Taste - very yeast dominated again, maybe some lemon and a faint toffee, but not much.
Palate - tight body, thin but very persistent.
Overall - it got better but it wasn’t very exciting to begin with.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled, BBE 2023. Pours amber in color with a foamy off-white head. Light funkyness, ripe and smashed apples and light vinegar notes in aroma. Slightly bitter notes at first, which however quit fast turns into
some more mellow, fruity kind of notes in flavor. Has a nice funky, slightly barnyard kind of vibe in the
taste as well. Feels quite crisp at first, but turns later into more a more softer direction. Nice funky
lemony notes towards the end. Extremely nice aroma and taste actually with all those slightly barnyard kind
of notes on the nose all the time and with that smooth and plesant fruity and slightly floral hoppy flavor

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle courtesy of rlgk shared in a Copenhagen hotel room. Pours hazy amber with a huge frothy off-white head that slowly dissipates while leaving a sticky trace on the glass. Smell is fruity with biscuits, mango, papaya, pineapple, grapefruit juice, brett, lemon zest, orange zest, dry wood, crackers, hay and dry soil. Taste is bitter and slightly metallic with crackers, dry soil, lemon zest, hay, pine needles, grapefruit juice, unripe tropical fruits, pepper corns, wood and barnyard. Mouthfeel is dry, astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter with crackers, pepper corns, dry soil, hay, lemon zest, grapefruit juice and hints of pine needles and barnyard. Kinda all over the place but still good overall.

330ml bottle at home. Pours clear copper with a 1 inch white head. Aromas of sour apples, spicy yeast, white pepper, clove, basically it looks and smells like Orval, which is entirely the point. Tastes like it too. A good clone.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Deep orange looks with incredibly fluffy and big head which floats like an iceberg on top of this beer. Beautiful. Scent is so sour and good! Bretta-yeast brings these green sour apple flavors and there is some citrus hops to balance the sourness. Sour apples are present in the taste too. Yeast dominates the flavors but not overpowering other flavors such as drying citrus hops and peppery spiciness. Full body and medium-to-high carbonation. Very pleasant surprise! Magnificent beer.
