Can from Table and Vine. Says 7.6%. Murky amber with full lasting head and lace. Green grape citrus bready aroma with a hint of toasted nuts. Peachy grainy cereal sweetness with citrus rind and spicy bitterness that lingers. Medium body, nice soft texture. When I poured it I was worried but it is totally fucking delicious.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2016 33cl bottles bb03/2025 (yes), samped alongside 6-12mo Orval. Note: In one of M.s 2015 big market maneuvres, now widely available in Belgian supermarkets as "Mikkeller rh Hvad?!": why would "Hva S?!" be the main alias? - - Pours a tad more bloody orange, mimicking its organic dishwashing foam well, if less boisterously. Generous depot. - Citrusy and soapy lavendar approximations of the true Orval leathery ciderfunk in the bouquet, filling the room upon opening - must have stripped that potent original brett. Great balance of an earthy herbal bitterness, funk-stripped candied orange and a dirty apricot compote malt base with coarses spicy and soapy strains running in between. A tad more coarse, less dry and clean than Orval, but a very impressive (and probably meticuyeastly Proef-engineered) "homage" to le vrai chef-duvre. - Very curious to see what this will do over time. // Rerate bottles bb2025: distinct IPa-like hoppy notes in the finish, more like a bretty IPA. Coarser than Orval, still nice approximation.

Bottle from Secret Santa, thanks for the opportunity! Deep auburn color with a huge frothy off white head. Initially some intense pineapple and tropical fruits on the nose that segue into spicy earth light honey and caramel The flavor is sweet bready caramel with almost a saison fruitiness before a wallop of earthy peppery bite and some moderate hop bitterness. Interesting brew for sure.

16oz can via Secret Santa Winter 2015 pours a murky amber with some frothy, off white head. Nose is not great at first, extremely pithy, some celery, some tomato, some blood orange, straw. Flavor is a little better, starts with blood orange and tomato, straw, crash, some dried orange peel. Finishes with some brown paper bag. Dunno if this was a bad/old can or if its just generally poorly done, but this was not great.

Bottle as Mikkeller rh Hvad?!. Pours a slightly reddish orange with a classy, yellowish-brown head. Aroma is spritzy, lemon, spiciness, light funk some berries. Taste is some spicy, quite a hit of red, sour berries, some lemon, light caramel. Too much of the berries. Not pleasant.

Arancio con schiuma sottile e frizzantina. Aroma fruttato. Al palato bene con carbonazione sostenuta, note fruttate e agrumate con secchezza evidente. Un pelo amara e acidula.

0.33 l bottle from De Bierkoning as Mikkeller rh Hvad?!, best before March 2025. Clear, orangeish amber with a huge, foamy, stable, tan head. Sweetish-sourish, slightly funky, fruity aroma of lemon, gooseberry, oak and hints of caramel. Bitter, slightly sourish, minimally funky taste of grapefruit, oak and old leather, followed by a medium long, bitter, slightly tart finish. Medium body, effervescent and slightly astringent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Far away from the original, not really enjoyable. Huge disappointment!
