Typical "chuck in a brett cube" horseblanket hints in aroma. Buttery. Rather a boring ale. Reminds me of the Architecture - theyre dangerously similar. Blah

6.8%ABV. Belgian Pale Ale. Poured out clear amber. 16SRM. Nose is deep citrus oil and sour. Lactic and farm ale like. Mouthfeel is carbonated. The palate is bitter with some toasted malt base. The bitter is vegetal and lingers somewhat giving it a hoppy finish. The bitter is herbal and hyssop like with a bitter melon or bitter herb character. Bitter is a little asymmetrical to my IPA tainted palate for now.

Pours a dark golden amber with fizzy head. Aromas of brett funk, woody notes, and some brettish boozy notes.

Drunk from 33cl bottle bought at Delhaize in Brussels. Enjoyable blonde hoppy beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

@bartlebiers Saison tasting/Bierhandlung/3/16; lovely nose of lots of tropical fruits, combined with some caramel and fresh brett that translates into quite a disappointing taste profile of soapy and harshly bitter hops. Anyways - an interesting showcase of brett-hops interaction.

It has scent of peach but a little bit of sourness. Hazy orange gold color.

On tap at Whats Brewing beer festival 2015, Stavanger. Pours almost clear copper with off-white head. Aroma of dark dried fruits, effervescent powder, horse stable. Tastes slightly sour. Dry mouth feel, bitter finish.

Pour is a dark amber with a huge tan head. Aroma is a big musty funk like some old clothes that have been sitting in a cellar for too long. I also get some vinuos wine like quality. Flavor is fresh herbs with some green apple and some bitter grapefruit peel. Finish is a bit tart with some pepper. Full of flavor but also dry and palate cleansing at the same time. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and they pretty much nailed Orval here.

Bottled, 330 ml. Hazy reddish brown colour, bigger sized broad pored beige head with thick lace... Nose of tart fruits, caramel, barnyard... Aroma brings citrusses, barnyard, caramel, sugar, grapes, apples and bread, mouthfeel is slick. Dry, breadcrusty, tart fruity, somewhat warming finish...

Strasznie gruboziarnista, ale powiedzmy, że dość trwała. W aromacie końska derka i trochę mydlin, trochę pomarańczy. Bardzo wysoko wysycone, musuje niczym szampan. W smaku niezbyt głębokie, troche pomaranczy, moze brzoskwini. W smaku bretty juz dość marginalne, choć dalej odczuwalne. Dosc miekkie w odczuciu o dziwo, ale przy tym sprawia nieco mydlane wrażenie. Może być, ale spodziewalem sie więcej.

Hazy dark orange color with off-white head. Aroma is intense on the brett yeast, slightly tart with fermented fruit notes. Taste starts also with fermented fruits, slightly tart but also bitter. You also get the intense brett specific funk with hay and barnyard notes, also slightly metallic. Body is medium with high effervescence. Quite nice overall, feels really authentic and rustic.
