Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a black body that looks somewhat still with large alcohol legs. Aroma of alcohol, big chocolate notes, light smoke, vinous and raisins. Taste is raisins, chocolate, smoke, charcoal. All around really big. Syrupy, medium bubbles.

(bottle from Marsiblursi, tack!) Pours dark brown/black with a thin light tan head. Aroma is very interesting and unique, with some basil, chocolate pudding, pancake batter, and black licorice being the most predominant scents. The taste is more normal for an impy, with roasted malt, chocolate, plenty of piney hops, some dark fruits, that gave way to a nice dry and oaky finish. I find most Scandinavian stouts to have a charred or astringent character to them, but this one proved to be an exception, as it maintained a nice and even roast profile. Mouthfeel was full and smooth. A good one, just wish it wasn’t put in such an asininely small bottle.

A pitch black colored beer with a dark brown head. The aroma of dark malts, chocolate with dark fruits like prune with notes of wood. The taste of dark malt, chocolate, notes of wood with some alcohol in the back. The aftertaste of burny alcohol with bitterness and dark fruits.

Entered to celebrate my rating number 14,400. Draft and bottled. A pitch black beer with a hug dark brown head - maybe the darkest brown head I’ve ever seen. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, roasted malt, alcohol, chocolate, and wood. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of sugar like dextrose, roasted malt, alcohol, dark bitter chocolate, and coffee, as well as medium notes of wood, leading to a dry woody and alcoholic finish. The alcohol and hops tickles the palate.

[Bottle, thanks Marsiblursi!] Pours dark brown with a nice brown head. Aroma is kind of odd and sweet, with honey, herbal qualities and smoke. The taste is sweet as well, then oak, a little smoke, and then malt and chocolate blend together. Medium mouthfeel, and has long finish. Overall, this was a pretty quality barrel-aged imperial stout, and something that I would like to try again in a little bigger bottle. Thanks again, Marsiblursi!

Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours very dark with short lived dark brown head. The aroma is full bold oakiness with creamy molasses, toffee, coffee and dark chocolate. The taste is effervescence pushing up notes of burnt molasses, toffee and coffee. To midway rich velvety dark chocolate and oak join the other rich flavors along with a decent level of booze. It becomes smooth rich nectar sweet into the finish. WOW!

HUGE thanks to Ibrew2or3 for the share. Pours a rediculous black with a near black head. Nose is BOOZE!, coffee, vanilla, burnt roast malts, chocolate, liquorice and soy. Huge booze flavor, heavy roasted grain, bitter coffee, bitter hops, loadas of chocolate. Finishes a biting alcohol sharpness and sweet. Thick and chewy. F’n amazing!
