Bottle shared by Jay at the post NotB tasting, thanks! Poured black with a dark brown head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma had a pretty strong coffee note with some roasted malts and a bit of chocolate as well as a light hint of bourbon. Flavor had smooth roasted malts with a strong coffee note but not much bourbon. Wish the bourbon would have come out a bit more on the tongue.

"Barrel Aged Breakfast". 500ml black-capped bottle.
It pours beautifully into my snifter. It is a dense, oily looking black with a foamy brownish tan head. The head sticks for awhile before receding with some lacing.
The smell is very nice. It has a lot of vanilla and oak scents from the barrels, it smells almost creamy. There is cocoa, wort, roasted malts and hints of hops and coffee under them.
The flavor is more like the original with a decent blast of coffee, some cocoa, and roasted malts. There is a hint of hops, oak, and spice. The sweetness I expected isn’t there. It is a very subtle BA beer.
I liked it as much as I liked the original .

Pours dark black with tan head, aroma has notes of roast, chocolate, some coffee, nuts, slight vanilla. Taste is nice with notes of roast and toffee, with some chocolate and coffee, finishing roasty, bitter and slightly sweet. Nice brew, but no real bourbon influences in the beer.

500 ml bottle @ Patricks (thanks to Yngwie). Black body with a big beige head. Aroma of medium roasted malt, coffee, mild whisky and strong vanilla. Flavor is sweet, roasted, dark malt, coffee, fruity hops, bitter and warming alcohol from Bourbon. It’s complex and very balanced, quite soft and a long, bitter finish that feels drier than in the beginning. A successfully barrel experiment, very nice.

medium black body, a dark tan head rises at least five fingers, great retention and lace, plus the head looks puffy really good... a very disappointing nose, firstly its very weak, secondly the bourbon does not show off at all, mostly some light creamy coffee, thirdly the great notes of the base beer which I love in all other forms is missing... taste is better shows off the bourbon, but still pedestrian overall, taste is bland, a little light coffee, a hint of vanilla, putting me to sleep... on a plus side the mouthfeel is really nice... SO disappointing, the worst breakfast stout they’ve done, and a really pour barrel aged beer
