Dark black with small head and good lacing. Liquid smoke smell dominates with hints of chocolate and cherry. Taste same as aroma minus the cherry. Has a salty finish reminiscent of bacon. Semi dry with moderate mouthfeel. Ok but wouldn't buy again. Not a fan of smoked beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to snifter. Pours black with ruby highlights. Smells like liquid smoke. Taste is bitter smoke with no discernible bacon flavor. No coffee or smoothness if oatmeal. Dry mouthfeel. Don't really care for it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very dark a little bit of tan head that dissipates. Powerful liquid smoke smell that dominates. Can't get much else on the nose, burned wood. Some carbonation and smoked salty with some cherry hidden underneath and the slightest bit of coffee ground. Overall not bad for a smoked brew, but lacks something. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black, with a ruddy coloured head; aroma of smoked meat; smoky, espresso coffee, thick, peaty; nice charcoal, ashy sensation in the background; like liquid frazzles; lovely, well worth the crazy high price as an annual treat.

500ml bottle from Discount labelled "Rauch Geek Breakfast" on Thanksgiving morning shared with ck1. Pours brown/black with an off-brown head. Nice lacing. Aroma has big meat smoke, with underlying caramel malt and chocolate. Taste is much smoother than the aroma would indicate. Smoke, milk chocolate, bits of bacon, some roasty-ness. Finishes sweet and smoky. Nice, tasty, a bit too smoky.

Bottle from South Bay Drugs: Created a thick formation of fluffy foamed head while the liquid was a jet black used motor oil color. The smell is smokey and has a sweet base of bitter dark chocolate and roast dark malt. Flavor is robust and rich with a thick smoked taste with a background of roasted coffee bean.

Bottle, consumed at home. Pours a syrupy black tone with a trim caramel head. Smells immediately of roast, duck fat, ash, liquorice and booze. Tastes predominately of charcoal, bacon grease, hops and dark chocolate. Ends nice and smoky with an appealing green apple tart note.
