3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle at home. nice black color, small coffee colored head. smells smoky, nice bacon smell, some malty sweetness, hard to make out much else because the bacon smell is quite dominant. full body, slick mouthfeel, soft carbonation, roasty taste, very little smoky / bacon at first, some coffee, dry / light to medium roasty finish. bacon comes through very slowly but steady on the aftertaste. quite interesting. roasty bitterness is a bit aggressive. I like the bacon on the aftertaste, but the roasty / dry finish is too aggressive for me. Its interesting to give this a try, but I have a hard time now finishing the bottle.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black beer with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet smokey, dark malts, coffee. Taste is quite same as the aroma, really dark and smokey. Some fruity hints and hops too. Quite thick and oily mouthfeel, finishes smooth and medium bitter. More hops please, not my favorite now.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Scent of coal, ash and smoked meat. The taste is heavenly good. The taste of chocolate, coffee, soy sauce, smoked meat, ash and coal. The beer is a little cute too so it is nevertheless easy to drink and not get too heavy. Quite so heavy bitterness in the aftertaste that fills the mouth forever. Wonderful beer that you can enjoy for a long time. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottle from a Chicago trip. Pours a black great color with a dark chocolate milk colored head. Thick head that never fully settles. A big smokey aroma with hints of chocolate and bacon. A nice chocolate touch upfront. A nutty vanilla flavor as the smoke takes over towards the end. Feels a bit thin but overall nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330 ml botle from AmmersinO, Vienna.
Black, oily liquid, with a medium, dense, creamy, tan head.
Aroma of bacon, dry coffee, smoked wood, dark chocolate, liquorice.
Taste follows this, but with the bacon not as dominant.
Full, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes strong roasty-bitter, dry, smokey, wooden.
Tasty! A pretty challenging, strong, dry, roasty Stout, with the smokey bacon notes well integrated. The taste doesn’t fully keep up with the nose in my opinion, but still excellent stuff! I prefer the standard Beer Geek Breakfast much more though.
