Niesamowite piwo pachnace beconem, wedzonka i dymem tlustawosc i oleistosc piwa powala. Do tego skropione mnostwem mocnej i aromatycznej czarnej kawy. Piwo jest takze czarne smoliste wrecz ze srednia i moze niezbyt trwala piana ale totalnie dominuje kawa palony slod i lekka wedzonka. Z piciem i dluga degustacja posmak boczku maleje ale pachnie nadal boczkiem grilowanym nad grilem. A na deser czyli na sam koniec mamy moc i gorycz kawy a takze ciut prazonych orzeszkow i gozkiej czekolady. Polecam do miesa ciemnego.

Pours a pitch black with a frothy but slighty too bubbly medium thick head. Very nice coffee-cream dark brown colour. Aromas of smokeyness, barbeque, slight meat, coffee, burned malt, liqorice. Slighty hoppy. Taste isn’t that smokey compared to the aroma. It has a lot of coffee and liqorice. Very burned malt profile and some earth. Very nice body.

Bottle from CBX.Pours black with a chunky brown head and leaves nice sheets of lace. Aroma of hickory wood fire smoke, ash, vanilla beans, chewy fudge chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, earth and some piney hops sneaking through. Sweet chocolate, fudge, coffee, vanilla beans and roasted malts up front fading into campfire with a nice bitter finish. Medium bodied and smooth carbonation. I love smoke and but I think it could use a splash more.

Pitch black with the very thinnest of caramel-coloured heads. Aromas of smoke, salt petre and saline, burnt caramel. Taste is more salt, slight bitter. No carbonation. Quite novel but ultimately not very nice.

Aroma is dark malts, smoke and a hint of earthiness. The flavor is dark/smoked malts, dark fruit, a hint of barbeque and a long and acidic finish.

Dark brown, almost black color, with a small beige-brown head. Aromas contain a lot of fresh crushed coffee beans, sweeter malts, bitter chocolate, cream and a decent amount of smoke. Taste is defined by a solid bready malt foundation, which gets washed over by a creamy, smooth coffee bitterness. Malts then stay recognizable by turning a bit sweeter, giving the beer a fuller body. Medium carbonation is responsible for the coffee to rush down the throat rapidly, while leaving a trace of smoky, roasted bitterness on the palate. This beer is defined by an interesting interplay of very bitter coffee and smoked, toffeeish malts, finished by a long acrid finish. Smoke actually doesn’t have the biggest influence on the palate, but it is recognizable in an enjoyable interaction with the malts, adding an unusal flavor to this great beer. Arguing from the perspective of loving a typical Bamberg smoked beer, this smoked stout entirely lacks the characteristic hints of saltiness. It is even more astonishing that it doesn’t need those, because of the complex coffee flavor, which stays in balance due to the malty smokiness - enough complexity is established in a different way, than they do it in Bamberg. The coffee flavor of this beer might already be enough to make this great, as it is very smooth, almost creamy, intense flavoured, and changes its taste on the palate during the tasting process.
