Bottle thanks to pentaz, 2009 edition. Black with a small diminishing light brown head. Nose lots of bourbon; coconut and vanilla. Some white wood, white chocolate. Flavour is equally dominated by bourbon, again coconut, vanilla, white wood, white chocolate, some alcohol, umami. Medium body, soft carbonation, filling sweetness, relatively low bitterness. Too sweet and rough on the alcohol for me.

@ Basunen 15-10-10: Flaska - takk till Eddan: Riktig stor doft av burbon och russin. Mycket len känsla med toner av frukt, choklad och kaffe. riktigt gott

Bottle at the Ultimate Imperial Stout Tasting. Thnx for the awesome day, folks! This bottle was shared by Beerlover_ben . Pours jet black, good dark head. Smell is sharp bourbon, anis notes. Taste is grainy, mildly bitter bourbon. Oaky, bit peppery as well. Some roasted grains. OK mouthfeel.

This beer is fantastic. Coffee but not burnt, chocolate but not bitter, dark but not biting. Sip or gulp, this is a deliciously smooth oatmeal stout. It moves from the front of the tongue to the middle, with flavor from beginning to end. Delicious....that is all you need to know. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. Pours pitch blak and a huge creamy, tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, chocolate, licorice and bourbon. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry, with alcohol and slightly bitter. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft carb.. The finish is bitter and again with roasted malt. An excellent Stout.

500 ml bottle to snifter (October 2009 vintage shared with the crew; thanks DuffMan). Looks good; fairly opaque dull lack with mocha head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells good too; dark malt and dark chocolate with notes of oak and a bit of bourbon. Tastes like it smells, but not as balanced. Average on the palate. Enjoyable.
