Nov 22, 2009 Bottle from Crown#6. Pours midnight black with 1 finger tan head. Nose is sugar cookie, molasses, chocolate malt smoothness. Taste is much more coffee than the nose, with roasted malt and brown sugar. More molasses and some dark fruits come through. Very excellent beer.

Nov 21, 2009 At a tasting, many thanks Zvikar, small brownish head, almost completly opaque dark brown, aromas of cocoa, lightly roasted coffee, and hay, flavours of strong roasted, wet dirt and a hint of hay and the oats felt in the back. Understated, balanced and not to bold, extremely enjoyable.

Nov 18, 2009 Pours black/brown. Nose is fresh coffee, smoke, dark chocolate, roasted malts, floral hops. Flavor is fresh coffee bean, cocoa powder, earthy hops, vanilla, roasted grain, harsh bitter malt and some coconut.

Nov 15, 2009 Bottle. Pours a deep black color with a lingering medium foamy head. Flavor is gourmet coffee, chocolate and roasted malts, oats. Medium bodied and slightly creamy. Finish is just the right blend of hops. Well done, this could fit in alongside a nice plate of bacon and eggs. Beer, not just for dinner anymore!

Nov 15, 2009 Pours a very dark, opaque chocolate, espresso brown with a very thick tan-colored head. Aroma is very malty and a sugary espresso/chocolate notes with undertones reminiscent of vanilla bean. Flavor is very espresso-like/full city coffee roast. The flavor is so pure nutty coffee. The coffee flavor is so pure and rich that chocolate doesn’t even really mask the flavors. It is a very pure coffee flavor. Body is creamy yet light with a medium amount of carbonation. Fabuloius.

Nov 15, 2009 Bottle at Olutravintola Kukko, Kemi, Finland. Very dark brown beer with the most beautiful reddish brown head I’ve seen. Aroma has roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Flavor has the same with a bittery end. Nicely bodied stout.
