12/25/2008: I drank this bottle of Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast for BREAKFAST on Christmas day... Aroma: Coffee and cream, roasted malts, semi-sweet and dark chocolates. Appearance: Extremely dark brown and opaque with a sparkly, frothy brown-coloed head. Flavor: Smooth roasted coffee liquour, light cream; roasted espresso finish with accompanying bitterness; milky, lactose-like and oatmeal aftertaste. Palate: Medium-ful, smooth. Overall: Good, but not worth the $11.99+tax/bottle!

Deep dark black/red. Nose; perfectly roasted coffee beans, toasted oats, chocolate, burnt wood, very strong, i wish they made cologne like this! Taste was similar to the nose, oh so malty!, nice balance, id rather drink this in the morning instead of coffee, wish i could afford it.

smells of roasted malts and a touch of coffee and cocoa, with a nice hop presence usually reserved for imperial stouts. looks/pours like an imperial too! taste is pretty intense, more coffee, smooth oat flavor and a touch of bittering hops in the dry finish. smooth body too from the loads of oats. great beer, if a bit pricey. For me Espresso Yeti is king of the voffee stouts, but this is quite good.

Bottle pours black with a nice beige head. Aroma is coffee, sweet and roasty malt, and chocolate. Flavor is coffee, a bit of smoke, roast malt, and a good bit of bitterness. Smooth and easy to drink.

Bottle from Parti-Pak Liquors (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a dark brown to black with massive tan head that settles slowly. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of chocolate, smoke, wood, brown sugar, molasses, caramel. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, brown sugar, molasses, coffee. Silky smooth mouthfeel with a roasted malt finish.

Black colored brew. Coffee and malts in the aroma. Flavor is smooth, coffee, chocolate. Nice smooth brew. Lovely rich.

Poured from a bottle into my pint glass this beer is so dark brown it borders on black. The mocha hued head settles nicley on top but goes nowhere. The smell is fantastic. So rich and bold. It smells like a freshly brewed cup of mocha coffee. The flavor is very intense. It has a bold smoky coffee flavor with a dark chocolate ganash and roasted malt backbone. Rather pronounced bitter bite. It wasn’t as thick as I imagined it would be. The carbonation is a bit on the high side but, not too strong. For me this is a nice imperial stout. I could see myself sipping one of these when the weather turns bitter in a few months.

Bottle shared on the 4th of July- Glad my fellow Dev Knights enjoyed! BLACK pour with a thin sticky tan head. You drown in the roasted blackness with steeped grains, coffee, smoked chocolate delights. Coats the palate smooth and creamy. A lot is going on here but it’s all really good. Great way to wrap up a wonderful evening.
