Bottle Pours a deep black with a generous light brown head. The head is creamy and lasting. produces real good lacing. Has a good aroma of coffee, alcohol, chocolate and some oatmeal. Has a light carbonation, which works well for this beer. Has wonderful flavors. You get a good dose of coffee. A little sour acid but its all good. Has a watery texture. A medium to full body. A real good finish with a good lingering aftertaste. This beer cost a little but was worth it.

Pours dark, pitch black with less than an inch of dark brown head. Lacing the glass nicely and decent head retention. On the nose you get a ton of coffee and more coffee. I also get an almond like smell on the aroma. On the palate you get of course coffee! Along with roasted malts, and a bit of almond on there as well a bit more subtle though. Excellent beer. Highly recommended.

What a Coffee stout should be, smooth not intrusive malty but just the right amount of coffee bitterness to balance it out. If it was a little cheaper this would be my morning after beer hands down. Prefer this to even Founders breakfast stout. A solid beer

Bottle served in a snifter, shared with joelcuts. I’ve been looking forward to tasting this one. Pours a rich black color with a small, creamy, light brown head that redevelops when the glass is swirled. Roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate on the nose as expected. Also a hint of sweetness in the form of chocolate covered cherries and hazelnuts. Coffee is the dominant flavor as well. Medium-full body and a creamy, carbonated palate. Thick and slick mouthfeel with a bittering dark chocolate finish.

Bottle. Pours near black with a big brown head. Roasted malt aroma with loads coffee and a dark chocolate sweetness. The flavor has coffee, roast, a solid amount of sweetness, dark chocolate and hops that show up for the finish. Really an awesome beer, and better than the poop weasel in my opinion.

from the bottle to the snifter. Nice creamy head that reapears when swirled. strong coffe aroma, slight nutty smell (hazelnutty) also sweet smell. French press like coffee intensity. Bitter finish but not over bitter. I like the beer but coffer stouts are not my favorite. would recommend to the geeks.

22 oz. bottle. Pours black as night in the desert with a good sized thick tan head. The aroma has generous amounts of roasted malt, espresso, dark fruit, dark chocolate, and moderate sweetness. The flavor has all of the things a good BREAKFAST stout should have: roasted malts, creamy toasted oatmeal, strong coffee/espresso, and dark chocolate. I get more subtle vanilla and dark fruit. The finish is both dry and bitter from the dark chocolate and espresso. The beer is smooth and very easy to drink. A solid choice for sure.

Black pour with a gigantic head that has the color and consistency of a chocolate mousse and lasts forever. Thick glops of lacing are left on the glass. Nose is surprisingly subtle. Smells like almost any other stout. Rich roasted malts are the main component of the nose. The taste, on the other hand, is a kick in the taste buds. Rich, black roasty coffee flavor is out front, with the malts being secondary. The taste is overwhelmingly bitter, but it’s a great bitter, like New Orleans style Coffee with Chicory, and some bitter hops tossed in. Finish is bitter like coffee with chicory.
