A really nice looking stout and the first impression is aggresive. All the way roasted bitterness and after comes the great flavor of a real good coffee. Altough that i have some difficulties with the bitter side of this beer i like it.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2010 Courtesy of BBB63, DL ’06. Oily black body, tan head, growing legs. Huge coffee up front, followed by licorice, faint bitter cocoa, and tons of roastiness. Flavor on par with aroma, bitter cocoa/roastiness even bigger, hop character shows up in the finish, helps to cleanse a little. Slight warming. Just not my thing.

Thick oily coffee/espresso aroma, and a real punch of dry dark roasts. Fill your whole mouth to appreciate the full taste. Very good, but a little unsophisticated in its extremeness. (6-5-7-4-13=3.5)

Lovely coffee aroma. Simple but rich palate - very roasty. Frighteningly drinkable. Soft palate. Stale coffee - and that’s so good! nomnomnom. I was supposed to be ticking, but I had 3 pints of this instead! yumyumyum!

(Bottle) Pours a black body with a medium tan head. Aroma of sourness (reminiscent of a Belgian-style stout), pine, roastiness, and some cocoa. Flavor of hops and chocolate (similar to a FFF Black Sun) with some roasted malt and coffee in the finish. Soft, smooth mouthfeel.

Rich deep ruby black colour with a large smooth creamy head. Oh i could smell this beer all day!!! Rich aroma of fruity plums, port, figs, dates and rich roasted dark malt and dark chocolate. VERY COMPLEX! Tate is similar with pronouncd choclate and roasted malt character with bangs of expresso. Delicous. Don’t know if i cu handle this at breakfast but definetly a Pleasure to drink

Bouteille.

Bon!
