Almost like a smoked beer, roasty with hints of coffee and chocolate. Clearly a well constructed beer from those chaps over the North sea in Denmark. daknole (2882), Plantation, Florida, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 28, 2009 (bottle) deep black with very generous brown head (watch the pour- I lost some over the rim). Aroma of slightly sweet roast malt, coffee. Full bodied with prominent roast malt, coffee, dark chocolate and sweet oatmeal flavors. Don’t really notice the hops, but the balance is good. Great stout. Would make a good base for a stout float. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA
