First of all this is the nectar of the gods. A black beer with a nice dense bubbly head that leaves a long lasting layer of foam. The aroma is so nice of coffee roastiness. The taste is roasted barley, black coffee, & a bitter burnt taste, with no taste of alcohol. The mouthfeel is so creamy smooth & was also slightly chewy like you could have it for breakfast. People say drinkability but I say enjoyability & this is at the top of the enjoyability chart. In my opinion this is possibly the best beer I’ve had & the closest to a perfect 5.

From the bottle, courtesy of Secret Santa, pours black like motor oil with a thick brown foamy head. Coffee beans and roasted malts are the aroma, with a taste of coffee, alcohol, dark roasted beans, and a bitter aftertaste to complement the smoothness during taste. Thanks Santa!

Exceptional appearance with enormous meringue-like dark brown head, opaque black body, and gobs of lace as the beer goes down. Nose is roasty with some hop character in the background. Roasty flavors dominate the palate as well, with hops again making a presence, and there is a coffee character that is hard to miss. Medium bodied and goes down with a dry roasty aftertaste that is quite good.

500mL and 22oz bottles - LiquorMax.net and Gomer’s Lee’s Summit. this review will be in general about the multiple times drinking it. aroma is mainly coffee, which subsides over time aging. carbonation appears to get better with age- smaller, more coca-cola-ish in the early stages. thicker and longer lasting with age. flavor is dominated by coffee when young but the oatmeal still comes through. also a nice nuttiness. great young, but give this one a year or more and the magic really happens. the flavors meld, hops balance out, it gets creamier, sweeter (with more chocolate) and smoother. wonderful. a solid, solid stout when young, but it really comes into its own with age.

22oz. Black body topped with a medium-small brown head with creamy sheets of lace, fully lasting. Aroma of coffee, oats, roasted grains, smoke, baker’s chocolate. Mouth is full and creamy with a dry finish. Flavor is rich, dark, and well-roasted coffee with a backdrop of oats, molasses, "coffee cherry" notes, campfire smoke, chocolate finish. Excellently crafted, delicious, rich, and wonderful.

I’ve found my holy grail of stouts. This is the one. Has an incredible aroma of chocolate, coffee and malts. Explodes with flavor that has a perfect balance of everything a stout should be.
