Creamy brown head. Black colour. Aroma is malty with earthy, coffee, dark chocolate and licorice notes with a light fruity accent. Flavor is malty with milk and dark chocolate tomes, slightly earthy, ending in a gently roasty finish. Full bodied.

2012 bottle. I actually drank this with breakfast (maybe I have a problem). The mouthfeel and body were absolutely perfect on this one. Velvety, creamy, heavy, rich. Tons of coffee, but it’s smooth and sweet and lacks the characteristic sour/acid notes that many coffee stouts have lurking in them. You get some wonderful chocolatey flavors as well. The only bitterness is in the finish, and it is perfect.

Pours a black beer, hazy liquid with a brown head. Smelled like coffee, chocolate, burnt and roasty. It tasted like coffee, hoppy, nice bitter. Full body, thick sticky and dry texture. An average carbo and a long bitter finish

Botle. Jet black pour with smaller dark khaki head. Aroma is strong roasted malts and bitter strong coffee, hint of hop bit. Flavor is bitter coffee (some of the bitterness is probably from the noticeably strong hops), piney hop, roasted sweet malts. Great mouthfeel. Overall, this was a good beer, but perhaps I had too high of expectations. The hop/coffee balance was just a tad off for my palate.

The aroma is subtle. Dark fruit, and hints of cereal. Pours a blackish brown with a lasting foamy khaki head and spotty lacing. The taste is roasted meaty malts, roasted coffee, bitterness with a grainy finish. Full body with medium carbonation. Overall, a very enjoyable robust stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I have heard a lot about this beer and finally I had the chance to taste it. Mikkeller makes really good beer. When the name of the beer has the word GEEK in it, it just has to be good :-) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mørk farge på øla, pent lysebrunt skum, perfekt høyde. Holder seg fint i glasset. Litt dårlig luktesans idag, men. Søtlig aroma. Sjokolade.

Draught. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is dominated by dark roasted coffee having some hops and minimal plastic notes. Flavor has burnt and roasted malts, dark chocolate and dark-roasted coffee, the oats give crunch and lightness to the taste. Mouthfeel is nice and thick but has low carbs, nice! Bitter dark chocolate finish with some nuts, aftertaste also has piney hops. Nice combination! All the flavors blend together nicely into a smooth brew.
