| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 31, 2009 Pours very dark brown with a large nicely laced brown head that slowly diminished. Aroma of dark chocolate, oats, hints of roasted coffee and low profile hop notes. The flavour is rich dark chocolate, oats, milk and roasted coffee. Medium bodied with a smooth and bitter mouthfeel. Finishes with chocolate malt and a slight dryness that lingers. A great stout that’s nicely balanced and very easy to drink - a mini me version of the Impy. Very nice. Bottle shared in celebration of my 27th year in existence. 01112009. The Coffee overwhelms other flavors but there are still hints chocolate and smoke. It is little less thick than other stouts. hophead21112 (117), Louisville (LEWISville), Colorado, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 29, 2009 Pours black with a thick light brown head that has great retention and very nice looking lace. Take it easy when you pour this one, the head builds fast! Aroma is coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt, more coffee, and a touch of sweetness from the 7.5% ABV. Flavor profile consists of coffee, bitter dark chocolate, and light smoke. Very complex. Medium-full body with moderate-low carbonation and very low alcohol warmth. A great beer overall! Coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malt in the aroma. Some smoke in the taste along with the afore-mentioned coffee and chocolate. A burnt finish. Superb beer compared to its price. brenn79 (159), Idaho, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Oct 24, 2009 25 oz. bottle- pours deep black with a thick tan head, be careful when you pour this, lots of carbonation in this and can cause there to be too much foam. The aroma is great, coffee, alcohol and dark chocolate, the flavor is the same, with coffee being the dominant flavor. I think this is the best beer I’ve ever had, Totally awesome. minch25 (353), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 24, 2009 Pours pretty dark, near black; medium creamy tan head. Aroma - oatmeal, coffee bean oil, licorice. Flavor - lots of roast, medium bitterness. Very creamy texture, added body / caloric value from the extra alcohol. A super stout. About as strong as a stout could be while still being enjoyable. Very very good, though still beat out by Aphrodisiaque in my book. sauceyhops (104), carlsbad, California, USA
