I abolutely love this beer. Always a fantastic aroma of coffee, roasted and toasted malts. It has a perfect mouthfeel for a low ABV, and is carbonated perfectly for this style. The toasted oats, cappucino, dark unsweetened chocolate, and hints of white chocolate make this beer complex, drinkable, and fantastic. It could use at least 10 more IBU’s.

Bomber, from Forest City in CT. Pours as viscous as I’ve seen, with even the head oozing out and into perfect position atop this stout. Aroma is rich with espresso, black coffee beans, roasted malt, and some chocolate. Very, very enticing! Flavor matches the aroma, but with the addition of a creamy vanilla and oat flavor. Speaking of oat, where I see it contributing the most is to the body of this beer. It is thick and almost grainy, which makes for an awesome drinking experience. Beer Geek finishes with a bit of sweetness (perhaps from the oat) to complement and balance the robust coffee character. Definitely a treat, though I did find myself dreaming of waking up to a breakfast bottle of this elixir . . .

Poured into a snifter. Pitch black with a mocha head about a finger tall. Excellent retention, some nice fine lacing. Aromas of brownie mix, coffee beans, and caramel. Black coffee flavor with the darkest possible chocolate, very very roasty. Caramel, licorice, and ash accents. Bitter finish. Robust body but silky smooth. Not overly complex but very well-crafted and easy to drink.

Dark black brew with a thin brown head. Super chocolate aroma with loads of coffee, molasses, oak, and brown sugar. Big bold roasted malt flavor. The coffee isn’t the focus, but lends to the complexity and drinkability overall. Cocoa, soy sauce, and molasses as well.

Pours dark brown/black with a medium mocha head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, and a bit of anise and vanilla. Taste is oatmeal, coffee, chocolate, and a bit of vanilla. As my brother pointed out, the mouthfeel is very silky and creamy - ala, on nitro.

500mL bottle purchased from Bruisin Ales in Asheville. Poured a dark brown/black color with a three finger brown head into a snifter. The aroma was coffee, bitter chocolate and some roasted malt. I seriously could have smelled this forever. Flavor is chocolate, oats and a hint of coffee. Medium/full body with soft carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. I really enjoyed this beer. The aroma and flavor are exactly what I expect in a stout.

Thanks to my bro for sharing this. Pours a rich dark brown with medium sized mocha-esque head. Aroma is of coffee, light chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is light coffee, mild milk chocolate, oatmeal and roasted malt. The body is incredibly silky. It seems almost seems like it was on nitro it’s that smooth. Great stuff!

Aroma is nutty with lots of nice coffee. aroma is kind of acidic astringent which is really the only complaint I have with it. Finish has a lot of really good nutty coffee. Palate is pretty smooth with tiny bubbles, slightly thin. Excellent lasting finish with good chocolate. Coffee is really well incorporated in this beer.
