Pours black with a brownish tan head, smells of chocolate, not as much coffee nose as i expected, but still very noticeable, wait i take that back. Tastes of cofee and chocolate. The coffee lingers long after the first swallow. On the second sip I am beginning to taste a bitterness on the finish and the alcohol seems more present. A good comparision would be the after taste of somewhat bitter/ astringentness if you drink your coffee black. Rich roasted malt on the back of my tongue on my last sip. I could drink this for breakfast for sure

500 mL bottle. Pours black with a large tan head. Aroma is big and roasty, with coffee, chocolate, dark fruits, and a certain creaminess. Flavor is roasted coffee up front, with chocolate and a hint of vanilla backing it up. A bit of smokiness and a bit of citrus hops. Fluffy tan lacing down the glass. Very enjoyable.

Bottle pours out a black topped with a tan head. Aroma of smoke all over this thing. Tast of bitter chocolate and lots of dark roast. once again more of the smoke.

Bottle @ room temperature, almost breakfast. Black, coarse brown head. Good bitter coffee bean aroma, slight tar, dark chocolate, little liquorice and herbal hops. Very much about the coffee. Herbal, burned flavor, stale coffee, dry and ashy cocoa finish. Medium bodied, sticky palate. Just not thick or smooth enough.

Poured like oil to a fairly large coco-colored head. Roasty coffee aroma. Taste is similar -- lots of coffee notes, roasted flavors, slight bit of sweetness. Nice long-lasting finish for roast. A very good stout!

750ml bottle. Poured deep black in color with a medium sized tan head that left ok lacing on the glass. Aroma of strong roasted coffee. Tastes of roasted coffee, light oats, molasses with a nice coffee bitter finish. Would pair very nicely with a chocolate cake or breakfast oatmeal. yummy.

Bottle. Poured very dark black, with a thin tan head. Delicious inviting nose of chocolate and coffee, more coffee than chocolate. Has that nice small bubble carbonation, that sort of tickles your tongue and throat. Great bitter finish, very long lasting flavor, a GREAT beer.
