Ca pe chon kaffe i en øl. Nu ryger havregrøden nok ud! Mørk og smagsfuld, meget fyldig og næsten ikke til at drikke en hel øl.

Beer geek breakfast is a nice oatmeal stout from Mikeller. I recommend the dragons milk from new holland though if it is available. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

In bottiglia.

Bottle at home with my wife. Pour is deep black with a small brown head and good lacing. Big cocoa, toffee, some tobacco, earthy hips, caramel, coffee, and raisins in the aroma. Taste is tobacco, leather, espresso, toasted malt, black malt, and cookies with a lingering coffee aftertaste. Medium body with medium carbonation. Solid.

Bottle at home. Pours coffee black with thin head. Aroma was somewhat plain with dark malt notes, some coffee and faint dark chocolate. Medium body with some back bone, not too heavy. Taste is roasty coffee, oatmeal, semi bitter dark chocolate and maybe a touch of ash on a lingering finish. Solid breakfast stout although pretty basic (but done well) and pricey. I prefer Cocoa Shake or the Flat White.

0.33 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’, best before May 2019. Pitch black with a thin, fluffy, rather quickly diminishing, brown head. Sweetish, roasty-malty aroma with lots of coffee, burnt nuts, tobacco, some licorice and dark chocolate. Sweetish, roasty-malty taste of coffee, dark chocolate, some licorice, tobacco and burnt nuts, followed by a short, roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice, but the aroma promised a bit more, body is a bit thin as well. Maybe too old already.

7.3%ABV. Breakfast Stout Tapped out black. 40ºSRM. Nose has some nice roasted malt goodness. Smoke and umami. Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate is crammed full of deeply roasted flavors: burnt toast, burnt ends, burnt roast pork, char Siew ends. There are also more full bodied malt flavors of black bread, rye toast, Hops if present are bitter and resinous. The alcoholic palate accentuates the resinous favor of the hops. Finish is smoky and bitter with alcohol in the back of the throat. Goes on Favorites List!

Bottle. A- Coffee, roasty, subtle booze. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Coffee, roasty, dry cocoa. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- A straight forward, no bs, coffee stout. Not really complex or rich but does what it’s meant to do. Solid, but I’d have liked it to be a bit more robust.
