Feb 21, 2007 Bottle at a beer gathering in Birkerød. Nice deep dark brown colour with darkish brown creamy long lasting head leaving a very good lacing. Strong aroma of coffee, chocolate and good roasted malts. Flavour of well roasted malts, good chocolate, bitter dark chocolate, smoky. Long bitter, roasty coffee finish.

Feb 18, 2007 Bottle from Olbutikken. Opague, dark brown head. Licorice and pineapple in the aroma. Licorice in the malty sweet flavor. Full bodied. Pleasant roast character. Coffee, pineapple and cacao. Abundant with flavors and aromas and not without character and complexity.

Dec 27, 2005 Bottle. Black colour with a big brown head. Roasted, coffee, chocolate, hop aroma and a dry roasted, coffee, chocolate hoppy taste. Medium body with a long dry roasted coffee finish. This is one damn good Breakfast !!!

Draught at Ølfestival 2007. This will always have a special place in my heart due to the night we ended up behind the bar at Ølfestival 2007 pouring our own. I have no idea how much of it we drank but I know it was a serious amount. What a way for Sim to learn how to pour beer serving up this wonderful stuff. Rest assured we were very very drunk but who wasn’t that night? Anyway the beer... Not much I can say that hasn’t been said already so I will be brief. Roasty coffee with bags of dark chocolate. Sublime malts. Absolutely exotic mouthfeel. Great balance considering the heavy coffee, wonderfully full bodied and equally well rounded. Shit the bed it’s amazing stuff. Have to say a huge thanks for letting us stay guys and for such a special experience. Sim said she felt like she was at Denny’s throwing back free refills of coffee...

Dec 19, 2006 Bottle. Black with a good brown-grey creamy head. Great aroma with some alcohol, lots of coffee and quite a bit of chocolate-like sweetness. Extremely full mouthfeel. Low carbonated. Quite dry with lots of coffee - actually quite bitter as well.

Jun 9, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a black body with a medium tan head. Aroma of sourness (reminiscent of a Belgian-style stout), pine, roastiness, and some cocoa. Flavor of hops and chocolate (similar to a FFF Black Sun) with some roasted malt and coffee in the finish. Soft, smooth mouthfeel.

Mar 31, 2006 Bottle acquired in joint trade. Poured a pitch black color with a large sized brown head. It just doesn’t get any blacker than this. Aromas of coffee grounds, chocolate, smoky/ashy, caramel and cherries. Tastes of roast, chocolate, coffee (lighter than the aromas), vanilla and caramel. Smooth body that was way too easy to drink. Delicious.

May 9, 2008 22oz bottle-pours a thick creamy brown head and black color. Aroma is roasty, dark malt, oatmeal. Taste is roasty, dark malt-chocolate/coffee beans, alcohol, lactose. Bitter/acidic in the finish. Nicely done but not my style.
