4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Definitely worthy of the top stout spot. It's like Guinness but with coffee and more ABV. One of the best coffee stouts I've tasted. Loved the strong coffee flavor.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle 33 cl.
Pours completely black, with a nice creamy brown head. Impressive lacing. Aroma of malts and coffee. Oat and chocolate, if you search for it. Taste of coffee, some hoppy bitters, a touch of chocolate and oats. With a beautiful, well balanced bitter finish. The nose is a bit shy, otherwise this is quite close to perfection.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml 7.5% Fantastic expresso coffee aroma. Pours medium bodied oil like with brown tar one finger head. Strong taste of coffee which evolves on the palate. A smooth chocolate taste lingers in the background. Slight carbonation on the tongue. There is a strong hoppy bitter tasfe which lingers for up to 5minutes. I possibly opened it too warm off the shelf. Very bitter and a very strong taste thst might go well with mature cheese or beef but not on it’s own for me.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Bierkompass. Creamy tar black color, with a decent beige-brown head.
Strong aromatic smell of coffee, espresso, a little aggressive but wrapped up well in roasted malt sweetness with hazelnut.
Coffee is defining my first impression of tasting this beer. I find it very interesting, that the coffee flavor is troughout evolving and changing on my palate from the beginning to the end, which gives the beer a decent complexity with a medium-body. Coffee goes very well along with chocolate, perfect mingling together, to one creamy opening, which developes more bitter and malty to the end. The aftertaste is enormous, lasts for minutes and even longer as the beer warms up. Carbonation is higher than expected, but supports this style of stout easily, not too present giving this a fresher note. Coffee flavor is really great in this beer, sugar and malts are in perfect balance and support it, without making the beer too sweet or distract from the coffee, the main attraction. The development through different stages on the palate without loosing focus on the coffee impresses me, and it stays for such long time. Even the late uprising bitterness seems to go along with a remarcable smoothness, which gives this beer a soft, oily, appreciable mouthfeel. Chocolate becomes very present at the end and adds a yummy sweet note to the overall bitterness. This beer tastes great!
