5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Wow. My favorite stout! Pours thick and black with a latte coloured head. Tastes of coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, smoke and roast malts. A very nice mouth feel, perfect bitterness and a good body. A great beer!

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Robe brune et opaque. Mousse moyennement.
Fumé puissant mais pas du tout désagréable. Arômes cafés et chocolat très marqués. Notes de céréales.
Très longue en bouche.
Une tuerie, à boire au moins 1 fois dans sa vie.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a beer of legends that was also presented by our Danish partner and friends. It is so simple (it seems), you brew up a stout that is neither too sweet nor to sour and give it a well rounded dominant roast, coffee and caramel finish. A beer of champions that is certainly on the beer bucket list.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a black colour with a thin, mocha head. Aroma of roasted malts, freshly brewed coffee, ash, some chocolate, smoke, oats and raisin. Taste of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, earth, some smoke, subtle raisin, prune, slight alcohol, smoke and burnt tones. Full bodied and soft carbonation. A full on, roasted coffee bitterness with subtle fruitiness in the finish. A superb stout, well worth the hype. Glorious roasted coffee aroma and flavour with some fruit. Thick and strong too. More like a imperial stout.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black pour with a creamy khaki head. Lacing coats the glass. Smells like cold brewed coffee with vanilla creamer. Taste is strong coffee and bitter dark chocolate with some sweet caramel in the background. Creamy velvety texture.

From 22 oz bottle to snifter. Pour is a nice dark brown/black. Nose is big coffee, mocha, caramel, roasted malt, smoke. Taste is butter, medium heavy body. Smooth mouthfeel, finishes sharp on the palate. Awesome beer

4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 oz. bottle poured at my brother’s house in Methuen, MA. Pours black with a slight tan head that died quickly. Smells like coffee (and a bit of chocolate?). Tastes like coffee and has a nice bitter finish. Touch of carbonation but not much. This is a great beer. Wish I had more than one.
Extremely drinkable...maybe even at breakfast (although it’s dinner time right now).

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Martins West in Redwood City. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts. Taste is dark chocolate, coffee, mild tartness / acidity that is lovely. Not as smooth on the mouthfeel considering the oatmeal. Very good... but with a score of 100 and coming from Mikkeller I think I was expecting something more exceptional.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Black with thin, dark coloured head. Thick, silky texture. Although there’s plenty of dark roast malts and coffee flavour it retains a certain sweetness making it very drinkable. Coffee flavours linger in the aftertaste.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma: Rich coffee, subtle vanilla
Appearance: Thick creamy dark brown head and beautiful black colour
Taste: Rich vanilla starts, savory milky taste runs, finishes dry & subtle coffee flavour
Palate: Medium full body and thick creamy texture of the oatmeal, soft carbonation, and astringent & bitter finish of coffee
Overall: So complex, the best oatmeal stout(not ’Imperial’) I’ve ever eaten.
