Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast 22 oz bomber Moderate pour in a snifter. Unknown brewing, snacked on 08/07 Poured black with a large frothy mostly lasting dark mocha head. Smelt of strong premium roast coffee, rich burnt malt, dark chocolate. Taste was upfront strong sweet dark chocolate malt, and strong bitter coffee and burnt malt followed by more of the same, with a stronger coffee aroma and a slight dry yeastiness on a long lingering coffee finish. Palate was medium to full bodied, rich and creamy, lively carbonated and strongly astringent. Overall, this beer is great aromatherapy, and the flavors are pure bliss. It seemed a bit heavy to drink on a hot August night, though. Heavy coffee stouts being my favorite style, its hard for me not to like it, but without being biased I still think this is a very well done brew.

Hello, knocked my socks off. Poured a dark oil slick black with a very very thin tan head. Had heavy hints of expresso, chocolate, and other earth tastes. Not to sweet nor dry. Perfect carbonation, not filling either. Finished well bodied and

bottle. jet black pour with a huge thick brown head that slowly dissipated. aroma of coffee, roasted malts and some spice (light cinnamon maybe). flavors of burnt caramel and coffee. sweet malts balance things - but the bitterness is long and even - tough to explain, but somehow different than similar minded stouts I’ve had. the texture is thick and slightly chalky on the finish. If I were a wealthy alcoholic, this would definitely be my drink of choice in the morning. K-8.5

650 ml bottle mail order from liquidsolutions. Black with a fizzy brown head. Strong chocolate, cherry, and coffee aroma. Bright velvetty palate. Bitter dark chocolate, espresso, and smokey taste with some citrus notes to the finish. Very good.

I abolutely love this beer. Always a fantastic aroma of coffee, roasted and toasted malts. It has a perfect mouthfeel for a low ABV, and is carbonated perfectly for this style. The toasted oats, cappucino, dark unsweetened chocolate, and hints of white chocolate make this beer complex, drinkable, and fantastic. It could use at least 10 more IBU’s.
