330ml bottle. Pours black with a thin tan head. Good bourbon aroma alongside some chocolate. Taste is thick and unctuous. Quite a prominent bourbon influence married brilliantly with the coffee and roasted elements. A bit sticky, but a lovely drop.

Ouf! Ça c’est du sérieux! Aucune mousse, très peu carbonisé, mais arômes et goûts très puissants: café, chocolat, vanille, bourbon. Le tout très bien balancé avec un fort taux d’alcool et le corp. Wow

(2014 330ml bottle from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen) Pours black with a tiny ring of tan bubbles and no lace. Aroma is quite strong but wonderfully rounded bourbon with no heat, creamy coconut and vanilla notes, dark malts, cassonade sugar, bittersweet chocolate, soft roast, a bit of coffee that’s restrained compared to the regular version but has pungency. Flavour is lovely as well, beginning with a sweet dark malt/toffee core, a bit of dark chocolate, creamy rounded bourbon vanilla and coconut, and sweet black coffee. Moderate roast and more spirit/oak character builds in the middle, roast coffee beans and earth, towards a moderately bitter and semi-dry finish of lightly charred roast, slightly pungent coffee, vanilla and some good bourbon. Dry and dusty roast in the aftertaste. No alcohol heat. Medium-full creamy body with very soft carb. Lovely, such a nice nuanced but still intense extraction of bourbon flavours, expected great stout base and the coffee holds its own. Not nearly as sweet and cloying as some in the style. Met my very high expectations!

Aroma is that weasel imp stout, but with a bit of bourbon notes. Black beer no head. Light sweetness, medium salty, licorice, light bitterness. Palate is full body, thick feel, long finish. Finish has bitterness, coffee, a bit of bourbon.

330 ml botte from BierKompass, before it closed. Pours a pitch black body with a thin brown head. Aromas of chocolate, bourbon, licorice, vanilla. Taste is sweet in the mouth with chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, oak, caramel, finishing bitter with coffee and roasted notes. Full body with low carbonation.

Bottle shared by Sjogro. Black with small brown head. Lots of bourbon up front with vanilla, brown sugar and wood. Then the coffee kicks in with bitter espresso, medium string roast and a touch of spicy honey. Some molasses, dark chocolate, rum and fudge too. Quite sweet with soft roasted bitter notes and lasting bittersweet finish with slight alcohol. Full bodied with velvety feel and low carbo. Nice.

330 ml bottle poured into a Bruery tulip. Black with no more than half a finger of tan head. 10.9% version with the orange Keith Shore label. Aromas of dark chocolate, fudge, strong roasted coffee, almost a little hot peppery note, slightly boozy bourbon. Tastes of dark chocolate, coffee, some bourbon and oak. Pretty good, better than some of their other barrel aged Beer Geek offerings but the barrel aging could still use a little work for more character.

Longtime want. Bottle bought at Bierhalle Deconinck. So creamy, such a thick mouthfeel, coffee, roast, vanilla and bourbon. Almost the perfect beer for me. Light bitterness. Truly awesome.
